"קריאת שמע שעל המיטה", יקרא במתינות ובשמחה וכנ"ל, ובזה מתקן פגמיו של כל היום, וכל פגמי הברית רחמנא ליצלן, בבחינת הקורא קריאת שמע על מיטתו מזיקין בדלין הימנו:

One should study each day a fixed portion and not let a single day pass — all the days of one's life — without studying at least a little in the Shulchan Aruch. Through this one nullifies all manner of spiritual and physical heresy and strife from oneself and from all the world. One should study the Shulchan Aruch in order from beginning to end, and thus conduct oneself all the days of one's life. If one is unable to study the full Shulchan Aruch, one should study at least from the abridged codes — and in the same order described.
