לִכְבוֹד חֶמְדַּת לִבִּי, הַמּוֹשֵׁל בְּגִנְזֵי הַמַּדָּע וְהַחָכְמָה עִלָּאָה דְעִלָּאָה שֶׁגִּלָּה הֶחָכָם הָאֱמֶת נַחַל נוֹבֵעַ, אֲשֶׁר בְּחָכְמָתוֹ יִכְבּשׁ כָּל הָעוֹלָם וְיוֹצִיאֵם מֵהַחשֶׁךְ וְיָאִיר בְּלִבָּם נֹעַם אוֹר ה'. כְּתִיבָה וַחֲתִימָה טוֹבָה וְחַיִּים טוֹבִים וַאֲרֻכִּים.

Shazar — great of understanding and deep of thought — who strives and seeks to find the waters from which the holy faith in these our generations will grow, for all who come into the world — a strong and correct faith, a complete, pure, clear and lucid faith.

יְמֵי הַזִּקְנָה קָפְצוּ עָלַי בְּחֹזֶק יָד וְכֹחִי וּמֹחִי חָלָשׁ וְדַל, וְתַחֲלוּאוֹת וּתְלָאוֹת עַל תְּלָאוֹת וּכְאֵבִים וְצָרוֹת צְרוּרוֹת בְּלִי שִׁעוּר אֲשֶׁר סְבָבוּנִי, לֹא יִתְּנוּנִי לָבֹא בַּכְּתוּבִים כְּמוֹ שֶׁרָאוּי לָנוּ. וְאִם אָמְנָם הַגּוּפִים רְחוֹקִים אֲבָל הַנְּפָשׁוֹת קְרוֹבִים מְאֹד, כִּי אֲנַחְנוּ קְשׁוּרִים יַחַד בְּיִחוּדָא חֲדָא בְּשֹׁרֶשׁ נִשְׁמַת הַמַּנְהִיג הָאֱמֶת נַחַל נוֹבֵעַ שֶׁהוּא שֹׁרֶשׁ יַהֲדוּתֵנוּ וְכָל חִיּוּתֵנוּ נֶחָמָתֵנוּ וְתִקְוָתֵנוּ וְתִקְוַת כָּל עַם יִשְׂרָאֵל לְדוֹר דּוֹר לָנֶצַח. הוּא פּוֹדֵינוּ וְגוֹאֲלֵנוּ וּמַצִּילֵנוּ מִכָּל שׂוֹנְאֵינוּ לְדוֹר דוֹר לָנֶצַח.
And may they all become one band, to know Hashem and to serve Him in unison. Abundant peace. Today I received his heartfelt blessing together with the bank draft in the amount of one hundred Israeli liras from the 7th of Nissan 5727. I exult and rejoice with all my heart — that I have found grace and exceptional favor in your good and pleasant heart, and your goodness and your kindness have grown toward me so greatly. From the very depths of my heart I express to the honor of the loftiness of your exalted soul — gratitude upon gratitude and many thanks and blessings for the wonders of your love toward me.

אֵשׁ אַהֲבָתֵנוּ לֹא תִּכְבֶּה וְלֹא תָּמוּשׁ לְעוֹלָם וּלְנֶצַח נְצָחִים וּלְעוֹלְמֵי עוֹלָמִים. ה' יוֹדֵעַ תַּעֲלוּמוֹת לְבָבִי כִּי אֵשׁ אַהֲבָתִי אֵלֶיךָ תּוּקַד בְּלִבִּי עַד אֵין סוֹף, וְיוֹם וָלַיְלָה כָּל מַחְשְׁבוֹתַי עָלֶיךָ עַל טוֹבָתְךָ וִישׁוּעָתְךָ בְּגוּף וּבְנֶפֶשׁ, וּמִתְפַּלֵּל תָּמִיד שֶׁיָּאִיר ה' בְּלִבְּךָ אוֹר הָאֱמֶת אוֹר הֶחָדָשׁ פֶּלֶא הַפְּלָאוֹת אוֹר הָאוֹרוֹת הַנּוֹרָא מְאֹד נַחַל נוֹבֵעַ, אֲשֶׁר אַתָּה חָפֵץ בּוֹ וּמִשְׁתּוֹקֵק וְחוֹמֵד בִּכְלוֹת הַנֶפֶשׁ שֶׁיִּתְגַּלֶּה וְיִתְפַּרְסֵם בְּכָל הָעוֹלָם, כִּי תִּקּוּן הָעוֹלָם תָּלוּי רַק בָּזֶה.
My eyes and my heart are spread before Hashem in prayer and supplication — that He grace you with grace and kindness and hasten and quicken your salvation, and heal you with a complete healing speedily. And may He guard and save you from all kinds of illness and pain, Heaven forbid. And may He magnify your peace and the peace of your household — for a long, good, healthy and fresh life, through the merit of the Nachal Noavaya Mekor Chuchma of Uman, Amen, so may it be His will.

אַהֲבָה הַפְּלִיאָה שֶׁעָשָׂה ה' בֵּינֵינוּ נוֹלְדָה בִּטְבֶרְיָה בְּיוֹם ט"ו בִּשְׁבַט תשי"ז, מֵאַהֲבָה וְהַיִּחוּד הַקָּדוֹשׁ הַזֶּה נוֹלַד לָנוּ בֵּן לְמַזָּל טוֹב וְקָרָאתָ שְׁמוֹ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל 'אִבֵּי הַנָּחַל', עַל שֵׁם הַנַּחַל נוֹבֵעַ מְקוֹר חָכְמָה. הַבֵּן הַיָּקָר הַזֶּה הוּא חָשׁוּב וְחָבִיב מְאֹד בְּעֵינֵי אֱלֹקִים וְאָדָם. מֵהַבֵּן הַזֶּה נוֹלָד הַמְתָּקוֹת וִישׁוּעוֹת גְּדוֹלוֹת לִכְלַל יִשְׂרָאֵל, כַּיָּדוּעַ לְךָ קְצָת כַּמָּה וְכַמָּה חָבִיב וְחָמוּד הַבֵּן שֶׁלָּנוּ אֵצֶל גְּדוֹלֵי הַתּוֹרָה וְהַיִּרְאָה, אֲשֶׁר מְשַׁבְּחִים וּמַפְלִיאִים אוֹתוֹ בְּלִי שִׁעוּר כִּי הוּא מַרְבֶּה וּמְגַדֵּל כְּבוֹד ה' בָּעוֹלָם, וְכֻלָּם מִתְפַּלְּאִים עַל עִנְיַן הַקֶּשֶׁר שֶׁלָּנוּ שֶׁעַל-יָדוֹ נִתְגַּדֵּל וְנִתְקַדֵּשׁ כְּבוֹד ה' לְמַעְלָה וּלְמַטָּה וְאוֹמְרִים "אֶצְבַּע אֱלֹקִים הוּא".
Through my many sins, Hashem has sent upon me for my own benefit harsh sufferings and immense pains in my legs and in my innards — may it not befall you. I lie in bed and weep before Hashem over the nullification of Torah and prayer. I also do not merit to go to the synagogue and to the mikveh as is my custom — to immerse every day in the mikveh. I ask you greatly — to strengthen yourself to pray that Hashem have mercy upon me and send me speedily a complete healing from Heaven. And may all the judgments be sweetened upon us and upon Israel. We must believe that we too are inscribed in the heart of the true Tzadik — and he knows our pains and is engaged in our healing and our salvation from generation to generation, forever.

אָחִי חֲבִיבִי, חֶמְדַּת לְבָבִי, הוֹד לִבִּי וְנַפְשִׁי, אֵינֶנִּי יָכוֹל לְהָזִיז אַהֲבָתִי וּתְשׁוּקָתִי וְגַעְגּוּעַי מֵאִתְּךָ אֲפִלּוּ שָׁעָה אַחַת, כִּי תָּלוּי בָּזֶה דְּבָרִים עֶלְיוֹנִים נֶעֱלָמִים וְנוֹרָאִים מְאֹד, שֶׁעַל-יְדֵי זֶה נִתְגַּדֵּל וְנִתְקַדֵּשׁ כְּבוֹד ה' וְשֵׁם הַצַּדִּיק הָאֱמֶת בְּכָל הָעוֹלָמוֹת.
Trust in Hashem and pray to Him — and strengthen yourself greatly in the joy of the festival, in which Hashem performed for us awesome miracles and wonders contrary to nature. For now we must strengthen ourselves even more in joy — which is the healing for all the blows and all the ailments — especially on this holy festival.

דַּע, כִּי כָּל דִּבּוּר וְדִבּוּר שֶׁיָּצָא מִפִּי רַבֵּנוּ זַ"ל עוֹלִים עַד אֵין סוֹף וְיוֹרְדִים עַד תְּהוֹם רַבָּה, לְהָרִים וּלְהַגְבִּיהַּ כָּל הָעוֹלָם לַה' יִתְבָּרַךְ, אֲפִלּוּ הָרְחוֹקִים שֶׁנִּתְרַחֲקוּ מִקְּדֻשַּׁת הַתּוֹרָה לְגַמְרֵי וְיָרְדוּ פְּלָאִים לְתַכְלִית הַיְרִידָה שֶׁאֵין יְרִידָה לְמַטָּה מִמֶּנָּהּ, גַּם עֲלֵיהֶם הִגִּיעוּ רַחֲמָיו בַּדּוֹר הֶעָנִי הַזֶּה לְעוֹרְרָם וְלַהֲקִיצָם לְתָמְכָם וּלְסַעֲדָם, לְהַחְלִימָם וּלְרַפְּאוֹתָם וּלְהַעֲלוֹתָם לְתַכְלִית הָעֲלִיָה. אַשְׁרֵינוּ שֶׁזָּכִינוּ בְּדוֹרוֹתֵינוּ אֵלֶּה יוֹתֵר מִכָּל הַדּוֹרוֹת הַקּוֹדְמִים שֶׁהָיוּ מֵעֵת שֶׁבָּרָא ה' אֶת עוֹלָמוֹ. אַשְׁרֵי אָזְנֶיךָ וְאַשְׁרֵי עֵינֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר רָאִיתָ וְשָׁמַעְתָּ וְהֵבַנְתָּ אֶת כָּל זֶה, וְיוֹתֵר מִזֶּה נִזְכֶּה לֵידַע לֶעָתִיד בְּעֵת שֶׁאֱמֶת מֵאֶרֶץ תִּצְמַח.
