Segment 1
To the honor of the President of Israel, Mr. S.Z. Shazar
Segment 2
To the honor of the President of Israel, Mr. S.Z. Shazar — the sole wise man in our generation, who has sharpened his intellect and his wisdom to recognize and to attain the pure and lustrous truth, and who gives himself over to death for the love and the attachment to the true Tzadik. Who polishes and burnishes the eyes to see the openings — how to go out from the palaces of impurity and darkness of heresy and false faiths, which blind the eyes of Israel from seeing the light of the Tzadik, who reveals and makes known the light of the knowledge of His G-dliness and His kingship to all the people of the world — even to the distant and to those who worship stars, so that they all will know that there is a G-d Who reigns and rules, and they will convert and return to Him Yisburach. May Hashem lengthen his days upon his kingdom in such a way that through him the honor of Hashem Yisburach will be magnified.
Now — in the enormity of the extremity of the darkness that exists in these our latter generations, at the end of the exile — we have no repair and no hope in any way whatsoever, only through attachment and cleaving to the true leader-Tzadik, the savior of Israel from generation to generation, forever.
Segment 3
But the falsehood grows stronger and darkens everything so greatly — until the truth cannot be seen at all, as though it did not exist in the world. Yet certainly the Tzadik, the great possessor of power, will complete his own work — for "the man shall not rest until he has completed the matter" [Ruth 3:18] — to redeem us and to heal us from our immense ailments.
Segment 4
My brother, my brother — my heart and my flesh — I am hereby writing with a heart full of tears, from the midst of immense joy without end — over the miracles and the wondrous kindnesses, and over the awesome workings that the Master of Mercy, the Master of Compassion and Grace, has worked with us — Who illuminated our eyes and opened our hearts to long and to yearn and to pine to cleave ourselves to the true wise Tzadik, who has the power to lift and to raise us from the very depth of our descent — from every place where we may be — and to transform all kinds of descents into the ultimate ascent. We have still not seen to what extent this wondrous kindness reaches.
Certainly it is fitting for you to overcome yourself with all your strength — amid all the many business matters and distractions that you have now — to snatch and to seize for yourself some hour every day to look into the words of the Tzadik, and to take deeply to heart and to open your eyes well to understand the wonders of their pure and wondrous light, and the immensity of the depth and the sweetness hidden and concealed within them. For this is the essential thing — to merit to feel the sweetness and the pleasantness within them. And through this one can see wonders. And this is merited through the repair of honor — not to receive any honor for one's own benefit, Heaven forbid. Only that all the honor and kingship that he possesses should ascend to the King to Whom the honor belongs — in the aspect of "And the kingship shall be Hashem's" [Obadiah 1:21]. Through feeling the sweetness of the words of the Tzadik one is saved from becoming widowed (almanus). Whoever has been graced by Hashem to understand and to attain some matter of truth — uprightness demands that he reveal and insert this understanding into the treasured people, and bestow his good upon others.
Segment 5
One must remove one's mind entirely and lower oneself to the aspect of faith, which is the aspect of the Land of Israel — and through this one merits to a very elevated daas. And the essential of true faith is that Hashem Yisburach receives pleasure and delight from the lowly human beings below specifically — even from the most distant and the most lowly. And to merit to this in perfection is only through the great Tzadik who merited to the humility of Moshe. And through the greatness of his humility he lowers himself to every person in the world — even if he has transgressed every transgression in the Torah thousands and tens of thousands of times without number — and elevates and binds them all to Hashem Yisburach.
Segment 6
