May Hashem remove from you all kinds of illness and all kinds of disease, and grant you a long and healthy life — a good life, a true and eternal life.

## Segment 6

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

I am writing this to you in the synagogue of Rabbi Meir Ba'al HaNess — the holy place in which we merited to join and to bind ourselves to the Nachal Noavaya in the year 5717, on the 15th of Shevat. My eyes stream with tears — from within the great joy.

## Segment 7

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

I am writing this in the synagogue of Rabbi Meir Ba'al HaNess. My eyes stream with tears from within joy — that we have merited to join and to bind ourselves to the Nachal Noavaya in this holy place in the year… And most of the letters were written here — without me realizing in my mind — how many wondrous matters I wrote then — which are a great good for all of Israel.

## Segment 8

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

I spend most of the day and the night in hisbodidus on the mountains above the holy burial site. And know, my brother — that you always stand before my eyes — and I do not forget you, Heaven forbid, to pray for you.

## Segment 9

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

The Nachal Noavaya — the Tzadik of the most lofty stature — who is a novelty of novelties — a most wondrous and most awesome novelty — in the very extremity of the depth of his most exalted wisdom in the Tree of Life — ascending to the very heights of the lofty heights — above and above — is able to illuminate the attainment of His G-dliness even if one has fallen to the place he has fallen… Who illuminates upon us a wondrous illumination from the light of the revelation of His G-dliness Yisburach.

## Segment 10

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

The essential provocation of the adversary — is to conceal and to hide the light of the true Tzadik. And we have no counsel or stratagem — except to overcome ourselves and to exert ourselves with all our strength — to run and to fly (and to flee) to the Tzadik. Who draws up and reveals the deep counsels — upon which the faith grows. The path of teshuvah is this: at first they bring him close from above and arouse his heart with a wondrous arousal — to draw close to Hashem Yisburach. And afterwards they distance him — and he has a descent and falls to distant places. And then he must strengthen himself in all that he can — and not let himself fall entirely, Heaven forbid. And then — the descent is the ultimate ascent. For he merits to elevate lost things — that are clothed there in the low levels to which he has fallen. And he merits to return and to ascend to holiness at an even loftier level.

## Segment 11

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

The essential revelation of the will and the subjugation of the forehead of the serpent — which is the root of the wisdom of nature — is through the Tzadik. Those holy souls that have also fallen into the errors and confusions of the wisdom of nature — the essential completion of the repair and the ascent of those holy souls that have fallen, etc. as above — is through the Tzadik.

## Segment 12

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

When one finds a blemish in Israel and accuses him — through this he is able to distance from holiness, from Hashem Yisburach. And they separate the feet from the head — meaning they cause a separation between the whole of Israel — the aspect of the feet — and the Tzadik — who is the head of the children of Israel — who darken the world.

## Segment 13

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

The days of old age and hoariness have seized us suddenly — and our strength is weak and scant. And the enemies of the soul have multiplied and strengthened from all sides — almost without measure. And our soul is tossed about in the miry depths — which is the fire of desires, the muddy filth of the desires of this world and its vanities — like a stone placed within a sling. And we are very confused and tossed about — more than a ship lost in the heart of the sea in a stormy wind. And we wander in the world — wandering and driven upon the earth — without any rest or quiet. And the stormy wind continues to storm — and we have no parable or comparison to describe or to liken the immensity of the mercy needed for us — from the day of our being upon the earth until this very day. And we have no counsel or stratagem — except to run and to fly (and to flee) with all our strength to the true Tzadik — Nachal Noavaya Mekor Chuchma — who has made known to us that there is no despair in the world at all. For he has in his power to transform everything for good — in every place and at every time and at all levels — whether above or below. Even the most distant ones who have become so distanced — who have descended and strayed as they have descended and strayed.

## Segment 14

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

Hashem Yisburach contracts Himself to the very ultimate of distance — and hints to him hints appropriate to him in his place and his time — (to draw close to Him).

## Segment 15

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

…He has in his power to transform everything for good — all evil to good. …Even so he has the power to transform all evil to good — from the aspect of apostasy to will. …Who shatters and subdues and humbles and nullifies from the world all the books of the heretics and the apostates and all the books of the investigators (that tend toward heresy and apostasy) — and all the arrogance and the dominion of the false leaders. And illuminates our eyes. …Who cast hatred and enmity between Israel and their Father in Heaven — and uproot those who engage in them from both worlds.

## Segment 16

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

If they would take a person who lusts after money — for whom his money is more precious to him than his body — even so, if they were to show him before his very eyes the melody of the true Tzadik — all his desire for money would be entirely nullified within him.

## Segment 17

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

We are orphans of orphans — we must roll ourselves in mire and mud and creep upon the earth among serpents and scorpions — until we merit to draw from the holy spirit of the Tzadik — who raises and reveals the holy faith in the world.

## Segment 18

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

…Who thinks thoughts and stratagems — to run and to fly with all his strength to the Tzadik — who gives us life and illuminates our eyes. …Who is all our consolation and our hope from generation to generation — and illuminates our eyes even in such bitter dark places as exist in this impoverished generation. May Hashem command with you the blessing and the life forever. And were it not for this — we would already have been lost in our matters!

## Segment 19

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

…Who thinks thoughts and stratagems (to shatter all the obstacles and the great confusions) — to run and to fly with all his strength to the Tzadik — who is our consolation and all our vitality and our hope. Who illuminates our eyes even in such bitter dark places as exist in these our days (in this impoverished generation).

## Segment 20

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

My heart and my flesh will sing to Hashem with thanksgiving and song — with great joy and immense and great delight — for the greatness of the awesomeness of His kindness and His immense wonders — that He performed wondrously and did with me. That He gave me a crown of grace of truth and a true love and great mercy in his warm heart — to stand by me and to fight for me with self-sacrifice — a strong and difficult battle — that I should have a holy sanctuary to serve in it with holy service: Torah and prayer and hisbodidus and conversation between me and my Maker.

## Segment 21

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

Certainly he has a great portion in all the good deeds I merit to engage in in this holy house. Who can express it! Who can express and explain the immensity of the greatness of the value of this pleasant and beloved mitzvah — immense beyond all measure and worth!

## Segment 22

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

Be strong and courageous with all your strength to hold yourself to the true Tzadik — the Nachal Noavaya — who is your life and the length of your days in this world and the next. How good is your portion and how pleasant is your lot in this world and the World to Come.

## Segment 23

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

And I shall also rejoice and exult with all my heart to bring him the good tidings — for the Chief Rabbi of Tiberius, Rabbi Meir, has given a beautiful room — the most beautiful and pleasant of all the rooms of the yeshiva — as a gift for all the days of my life — upon the holy burial site of Rabbi Meir Ba'al HaNess.

## Segment 24

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

</div>

Know, my brother — that all the sufferings and the troubles that Hashem Yisburach sends upon a person, Heaven forbid, are entirely only in order to break the brazenness of the body and to arouse it to teshuvah — so that the soul can draw close to the body and illuminate for it the light of the Tzadik, who has the power to repair everything in perfection and to bring everything close to Hashem Yisburach in truth.
