אשרי שיואחז בו באמת!
דע, אחי, שכל דברי רבינו, זכרונו לברכה, הם (כלליות) מעייני הישועה; כמו מעיין שאינו נפסק לעולם, כן דבריו חיים וקיימים, נחמדים ונאמנים לעד ולעולמי עולמים, ועצותיו וישועותיו אינם כלים לעולם, ותמיד תוכל לחזק עצמך בדבריו הנוראים, איך שהוא, כי מאיר האור בנו גדולות הבורא יתברך וחסדיו ורחמים הגדולים המרובים אשר בהם נגילה ונשמחה, מכל המקומות שאנחנו שם.
"ואדרבא, כל מה שאני יודע מגריעותי יותר, גדלה ושגבה השמחה ביותר ויותר, שגרוע כזה ידע מקדושה כזאת, מנעימות כזה, מנפלאות כאלה, כי לא דבר ריק הוא מה שהשם יתברך הפליא עימנו בדורותינו אלה על ידי (בענין) הצדיק האמת, שאי אפשר לשער ולבאר, כי מאד עמוק עמוק העסק הזה, ובזה אני רואה חסדו וישועתו גם עלי בעוצם פחיתותי; כי הלא היה יכול להיות, לפי גריעותי, שגם אנוכי הייתי, חס ושלום, עוסק לקרוע ולבזות ספריו הקדושים, ועתה אני עוסק ללמדו ולידע מנעימות כזאת, המחיה גם אותי בכל מקום אשר אני שם!" בדרך זה יכולים להחיות את עצמו ולשמח את עצמו בכל עת, אפילו אם יעבור עליו מה, חס ושלום.
