הצדיק ממשיך על כל אחד, בכל מקום שהוא, הארה משורש נשמתו שבתורה, להחזירו למוטב, ולהורות לו דרך והילוך איך שיזכה לצאת מהרע שלו ולהתקרב להשם יתברך; כי הצדיק עושה פתחים ושערים חדשים, ופותח השערים הישנים שנעשו על ידי הצדיקים הקודמים, להתקרב על ידם להשם יתברך ולהשיג אלקותו יתברך, עד שגם כל הרחוקים וכופרים גמורים יתקרבו אליו יתברך.

The Tzadik draws down upon each and every one — in every place where he may be — an illumination from the root of his soul in the Torah. To return him to good — and to show him the way and the going — how he will merit to go out from his evil — and to draw close to Hashem Yisburach. For the Tzadik makes new openings and gates — and opens the old gates that were made through the previous Tzadikim — to draw close through them to Hashem Yisburach and to attain His G-dliness Yisburach. Until even all the distant ones and the utter unbelievers will draw close to Hashem Yisburach.
