שהעיר את רוחו, והקדיש את לבבו הרחב וכשרונותיו הברוכים {הברורים} לגדל ולפרסם את שם הצדיק האמת, היחיד בעולם, העולה לעילא ולעילא על כל הצדיקים האמיתיים המובחרים, יחידי הדורות, שהוא מחסה ומגן לנו גם עכשיו, אפילו בתוך כל מיני חשכות והתרחקות של כל אחד אשר בימינו אלה, באחרית הימים.
אשריך, אחי! אשריך אלפים פעמים, שפנימיות לבבך מבין ומרגיש האמת האמיתי המאיר עכשיו בעולם, שלום וישע רב.
מריבוי עייפות נפשי מחמת התלאות המרות אשר סבבוני, אין בי דעת ואין עימי דיבורים. אך למען עוצם נועם אהבתך החרוט בעומק ליבי, לא יכולתי להתאפק וכתבתי בכל כוחי.
כי ה' יודע ועד וגם לבבך רואה ומרגיש, כי נפשך קשורה בנפשי בכל יום בכל עת תמיד ובפרט בחצות לילה בעת ההתבודדות והשיחה עם השם יתברך לאשר ידעתי גם ידעתי שמושרש בפנימיות לבבך נקודת האמונה הקדושה בהשם יתברך ובתורתו ובהצדיק האמת, בחיר מבחירי צדיקיא, שהוא מעין כל הישועות, ובדבריו יכולים להתנחם ולהחיות את נפשנו בכל מקום ובכל זמן.
אשר במעיינות חכמת תורתו מאיר בנו אמונה אמיתית, שזאת האמונה היא היא מקור החכמה, כי על ידה באים להשגות אלוקות ולראות עין בעין אלקותו ומלכותו וממשלתו.
לכן בכל פעם, לזאת הנני פונה אליך ומסיתך לחשוב מחשבות עמוקות, להתגבר ולהתאמץ ברצון חזק מאד, בקריאה לבבית, להעמידך על החוב הקדוש המוטל עליך להגות בספריו בכל יום ויום, לראות אורות החדשות הנוראות שבהם, עד שיכנס ריחות הטובות הקדושות שבהם בלבבך לקיום ולמעשה.
כי הבעל דבר אורב על האדם תמיד, והעיקר על אחריתו וסופו, בפרט בדורותינו אלה, ואי אפשר לדלג ולקפוץ על הגהינום, שהוא זה העולם, כי אם על ידי כוח הצדיק האמת ועצותיו וספריו הקדושים, המלאים בעצותיו העמוקות והתמימות ופשוטות מאד לכל אחד ואחד בכל מקום ובכל זמן, המקשרים נפשות ישראל להשם יתברך כחותם על ליבו.

Who has stirred his spirit — and dedicated his broad heart and his blessed {alternate: clear} abilities — to magnify and to publicize the name of the true Tzadik — the one and only in the world — who is elevated above and above all the true and select Tzadikim, the singular ones of the generations. Fortunate are you, my brother! Fortunate are you a thousandfold — for the inwardness of your heart understands and feels the true truth that now shines in the world. Peace and abundant salvation.

Because of the great abundance of the fatigue of my soul — from the bitter afflictions that have surrounded me — there is no knowledge within me and I have no words. But for the sake of the immense pleasantness of your love — engraved in the very depths of my heart — I could not restrain myself and I wrote with all my strength.
Segment 4
For Hashem knows and is witness — and your heart too sees and feels — that your soul is bound to my soul every day at every time always, and especially at midnight at the time of the hisbodidus and the conversation with Hashem Yisburach. Therefore at every time — for this reason I turn to you and entice you to think deep thoughts — to overcome and to exert yourself with a very strong will, in a heartfelt call — to establish yourself in the holy obligation that rests upon you, to meditate in his books every single day, to see the new awesome lights within them. Until the good and holy fragrances within them enter your heart — for fulfillment and for action.
Segment 7
For the adversary always lies in ambush for the person — and especially regarding his end and his outcome. Particularly in these our generations.
