כי יש עימו יתברך כמה מיני פדות, שבודאי יפדה אותנו מכל עוונותינו, רק שצריכין לקוות ולשמור ולצפות קווי אחר קווי בלי שיעור, עד ישקיף וירא ה' משמים.
צריך להחיות ימיו, שמשם מקבל חיות...להחיות ימיו בכל יום ויום מימי חייו, כי "מלא כל הארץ כבודו", ומכל הטומאות והזוהמות שבעולם יכולים לשוב אל השם, אליו יתברך.
אי אפשר לקפוץ בפעם אחד אל הקדושה בשלמות, כי צריך להמתין הרבה, כל אחד כפי ענינו, עד שיזכה לשוב להשם יתברך כראוי.
צריך להתחזק, שלא יפול בדעתו בשום אופן. כי כמו שהאדם צריך לעמוד בנסיון לבלי לילך אחר תאוותיו בהתר או באיסור, חס ושלום, כמו כן צריך להתחזק לעמוד בנסיון אם כבר נכשל במה שנכשל, חס ושלום, לבל יפול על ידי זה כלל, כי כל הנפילות שנופל הוא רק מעשי בעל דבר, שרוצה ללכדו ברשתו ח"ו על ידי זה דיקא.
העלילות והתואנות שהבעל דבר מוצא לכל אדם לפרוש מאחרי המקום, חס ושלום, ריבוי מספר כי אין מספר, ולכל אחד מוצא עלילות מיוחדות, רובם על ידי טרדת הפרנסה והממון ומניעות המונעים, על ידי מונע מניעות המונעים וכו'.

Segment 2
…But one who truly wishes to have compassion upon his true life… But one who truly wishes to truly have compassion upon his true life — must hope and guard and look forward to Hashem always — hope after hope without measure. For with Hashem Yisburach there is kindness and abundant redemption.

It is impossible to leap at once to holiness in perfection. For one must wait greatly — each one according to his matter. Until he merits to return to Hashem Yisburach as is fitting.

One must strengthen oneself — not to fall in one's mind in any way. For just as a person must stand firm in a trial — not to go after his desires whether permitted or forbidden, Heaven forbid — so too he must strengthen himself to stand firm in the trial — if he has already stumbled in what he has stumbled, Heaven forbid. Not to fall through this at all. For all the falls that befall him — are only the deeds of the adversary — who wishes to trap him in his net — specifically through this, Heaven forbid.

The pretexts and excuses that the adversary finds for every person — to withdraw from following the Omnipresent, Heaven forbid — are without number and without counting.
