לכבוד... אותן הרחוקים והגרועים ביותר, שכבר הזקינו ברשעתם ונתעבו ונתגשמו מאד, אסור לעסוק בתיקונם מי שאין כוחו חזק וגדול ביותר, כי יוכלו להזיק לו מאד. רק הצדיק האמת, שהוא הרבי והמנהיג האמת של כל הדורות, שכוחו אביר וחזק מאד מאד, יכול (לקרבם ולתקנם), לתקנם ולהעלותם להביאם אל התכלית הטוב, כי זה הצדיק מקשר את עצמו אפילו עם הפחות שבפחותים והקל שבקלים ומעלה את הכל לכף-זכות, ומוצא זכות וטוב אפילו ברשע גמור, כי יש אלוקות אפילו בדיוטא התחתונה, ועל ידי זה מעלהו לכף זכות באמת ומתקנו ומחזירו בתשובה... ומלקט ומברר, ומלקט ומעלה ומקבץ, ומעלה הנקודות טובות שיש בהם, מכל אחד, ועל ידי זה מעלהו (ומעלה הכל) לכף זכות באמת ומתקנו ומחזירו בתשובה. (הצדיק הוא צינור של כל ההשפעות).
