עיקר התשובה על כל החטאים הוא ענוה ושפלות, לשוב מגדלות ולהשפיל עצמו, שישים עצמו כעפר לדוש, וירגיש שפלותו וריחוקו מהשם יתברך, וישבר ליבו לפני השם יתברך, שעל ידי זה מוחל לו השם יתברך, כמו שכתוב: "לב נשבר ונדכה, אלוקים לא תבזה"; כי על ידי הענוה והשפלות ועושה עצמו כאין וכאפס, על ידי זה נתבטלין כל הדינים, שהם בחינת החטאים.

The essential teshuvah for all the sins — is humility and lowliness. To return from greatness and to humble oneself. To place oneself as the trodden earth. And to feel one's lowliness and one's distance from Hashem Yisburach. And to break one's heart before Hashem Yisburach. Through which Hashem Yisburach forgives him. As it is written: "A broken and crushed heart — G-d You will not despise" [Psalms 51:19]. For through humility and lowliness — and making oneself as nothing and as null — through this all the judgments are nullified. Which are the aspect of sins.
