למשיב נפש היה לי מכתבך אשר קבלתי ביום שישי הקרוב, וכן המכתב הקודם. מה מאד נעים לי צוף לשונך הצח, לשון מדברת אמת, מעומק הלב, מעומק ליבך, אשר בהם תשעשע נפשי.
בכל הדברים אגילה ואשמחה מכל הון יקר לו. מכל מה שהיא רואה ומשגת תמיד...
