ביום שישי כ"ג ניסן באתי לביתי חזרתי מעיר הקודש ירושלים לביתי ומצאתי את מכתבו מיום ערב חג הפסח תשכ"ב בצרוף המחאה בסך 20 עשרים לירות ישראליות מעומק ליבי אביע לכבודו רוב תודות וברכות לבביות יהי אלקיו עמו וישפיע עליו טובו וחסדו ירבה שלומו בברכה וחיים אמיתיים לאורך ימים בהוקרה והערצה

On Friday — the 23rd of Nissan — I came home. I returned from the Holy City of Jerusalem to my home. And I found his letter from the eve of Passover 5722 — together with the cheque in the sum of 20 twenty Israeli liras. From the very depths of my heart — I express to his honor — very much thanks and heartfelt blessings. May his G-d be with him — and shower upon him His goodness and His kindness. May He multiply his peace — with blessing and true life — for a length of days.
