עיקר הרחמנות שצריכים לרחם על ישראל הוא, להכניס בהם אור האמת, ולהוציאם על ידי זה מעוונות ולקרבם להשם יתברך.

אחי יקירי, נפשי וליבי! אל תתרשל בהמצוה ששלח ה' לידך, ותעשינה לשם שמים בלי איחור כלל, ותהיה זריז לעשות כל מה שמוטל עליך לעשות; אל תאמר: אעשה אותה למחר! שמא לא לא תפנה.
אל תתעצל להיות חבר טוב ליראי ה' האמיתיים! התחבר בחברתם תמיד, בפרט בראש השנה הקדוש והנורא הממשמש ובא.
אל תתעצל לבקש חכמה מהחכם האמת שבדורנו ושבכל הדורות, ושמע והאזין דבריו הנפלאים וכו'. יומם ולילה זכרו ממך לא ימוש ותשוהו תמיד לנגד עיניך.
פלס מעגל רגליך לישר אותם בדרך האמת, ומדרך שקר תברח ותרחק. אל תפרד מהגאון (מהגיון) חכמה ומוסר, ותתאבק בעפר רגלי חכמים אמיתיים ותתחכם.

…Who relates to the true Tzadik and his disciples with fondness, reverence and love without end and without limit. And who strives with all his strength, with all his ability — to greatly publicize in the world the name of the true Tzadik. Through which the redemption will come to us and to all Israel and to the entire world.

…And deepen your thought with a very deep and exceptional understanding — to improve your end through the power of the true Tzadik — distinguished through the sharpness of his upright intellect.

The essential mercy that one must have for Israel is to implant within them the light of the truth — and through this to take them out from sins and to bring them close to Hashem Yisburach.

…Who humbles himself and casts away his honor from before him — for every holy matter that pertains to the benefit of the building and the affairs of the heroic Tzadik, the great possessor of power, who has the power of attraction — to draw and to bring close the entire world to Hashem Yisburach.

My dear beloved brother — my soul and my heart! Do not be slothful in the mitzvah that Hashem has sent to your hand — and perform it for the sake of Heaven without any delay whatsoever. And be alacritous to do all that rests upon you to do. Do not say: I will do it tomorrow! Perhaps you will not have the opportunity. Do not be lazy in being a good friend to the truly God-fearing! Attach yourself to their company always — especially at the approaching holy and awesome Rosh Hashana.

The essential of the person is the daas — and one who has no daas is not a person at all — only he is an animal in human form. And the essential daas is to know that there is a G-d Who rules in the land — and to do His will Yisburach.
