ברודער! (לוא היי) האלט זיך! לאז דיך ניט אפ! (אחי! אחוז עצמך היטב ואל תרפה). מאך זיך פריש (תרענן עצמך) כאילו היום נולדת! (אזר-נא כגיבור חלציך, אחי יקירי. דל עיניך למרום וחגור בעוז מתניך), חזק ואמץ ותשמח ותגיל ובטח בכוחו של זקן דקדושה, זקן שבזקנים, כי הוא הולך לפנינו בכל עת לנצח, בזה ובבא, ואף בישועת ה' שעשה עמך.
ואם אמנם כבר נלכדנו כמו שנלכדנו, אף על פי שאנו בעצמנו חייבים בזה, אף על פי כן אשרינו אשרינו אלפים ורבבות פעמים אין מספר.
...ונכשלנו כמו שנכשלנו...שבאנו לזה העולם בזה הזמן, שיש לנו בעולם אור חדש כזה, אור האורות,חידוש שבחידושים כזה וכו'.
...תורות, שיחות ומעשיות נוראות כאלה אשר אין דוגמתם, ואי אפשר לבאר עד היכן הדברים מגיעים ברום גבהי מרומים; אך גם בפשיטות הם מחיין את כל הנפשות בחיי עולם בכל עת לנצח.
ואין לנו פה וכלים לשבחם שבח נוראות גדולתם, לבאר עד היכן הדברים מגיעים וכו', שאין ביכולת להשיג קצת מן הקצת וחלק מן החלק (ומעט מן המעט) של אלף אלפי אלפים ורבי רבבות גודל מעלת נפלאותיו, עד היכן הדברים מגיעים ברום גבהי מרומים; אך גם בפשטות הם מחיין את כל הנפשות.
הפוך בהם והפוך בהם בכל תורה, בכל שיחה, בודאי תוכל להחיות עצמך תמיד!
ואין לנו פה וכלים לבאר קצת מן הקצת וחלק מן החלק של אלף אלפי אלפים ורוב רבי רבבות עד היכן הדברים מגיעים, ברום גבהי מרומים; אך גם בפשטות הם מחיין את כל הנפשות בחיי עולם בכל עת לדור דור.

…My dearest — who rolls himself in the dust of the feet of the Tzadik, to enjoy the pleasantness of his splendor and to nourish his soul with the lustrous brilliance of the light of his Torah — and to draw from there eternal life.

Bruder! (Lu'ay hei) halt zich! Luz dich nit op! {Brother! Hold yourself firm! Do not let yourself go!} Mach zich frish {Renew yourself} — as though you were born today! (Gird yourself like a warrior, my dear beloved brother. Lift your eyes on high and gird your loins with strength.) Be strong and courageous — and rejoice and exult — and trust in the power of the elder of holiness — the elder of elders. For he walks before us always at every moment forever — in this world and the next. And also in the salvation of Hashem that He performed with you.

And even though we have already been trapped as we have been trapped — even though we ourselves are responsible for this — even so, fortunate are we, fortunate are we — a thousandfold and ten-thousandfold times without number.

…And we have stumbled as we have stumbled… that we have come into this world at this time — in which we have in the world such a new light — the light of all lights — such a novelty of novelties, etc.

…Torah teachings, conversations and such awesome stories — the like of which have no equal. And it is impossible to explain to what heights the matters reach — to the very heights of the lofty heights. But even in their simplicity they give life to all souls — with eternal life at every moment forever.

And we have no mouth or vessels to praise the praise of the awesomeness of their greatness — to explain to what heights the matters reach, etc. For it is impossible to attain even a small fraction of a fraction (and a little of the little) of the thousands of thousands of thousands and tens of thousands of tens of thousands of the magnitude of the loftiness of His wonders — to what heights the matters reach to the very heights of the lofty heights. But even in their simplicity they give life to all souls.

Turn it and turn it in every Torah teaching, in every conversation — certainly you can always give yourself life!
