      "en": "I came – I got up, I wasn't able! But I was lying on spikes, I heard such a chatzos (-midnight prayer) – can I shoyn (-already...) sleep?! Can I shoyn (-already…) lay down?! Nu, I fortified myself with all my strength and I got up, I sat by the table. He had (by him) candles with matches, this was a precious commodity, and he sat by the candle with a holy book, I approached, I saw his face, fear and shame fell upon me - - and the tiles there where he was sitting were trembling – the table with the chairs, yeah."

A lion does not roar except from a trough of straw (-the Talmud in Brachos 32a – trough of meat) – a lion when he satiates himself with meat – he roars! The body, when it is given a piece of bread – bread with tea – it is entirely something else!"

So he told her, “By me there are men that they live with life-wisdom - that they can live – with life-wisdom in this world! (*see Life of Our Leader Rabbi Nachman, article 238, and see further regarding this in Words of Rabbi Nachman, articles 181 and 306, and in the Words after the Legendary Tales, and Life of Our Leader Rabbi Nachman, article 75)."

      "en": "By R' Nussun Bitelmacher (the second husband of the righteous lady, Gittelle r.i.p., after she was widowed from R' Yisroel Karduner o.b.m.) - he didn't have any children l.u. (-not upon us), he sat (-lived, settled) with a wife and did not have any children. He married Gittelleh, so when I would come to Jerusalem I would be by Gittelle'n – by R' Nussun'en, I had everything! This is something else altogether! I would sit with him by the table, I would see his movements (/motions), with his words – this is something else altogether!"

(Someone asks: Was he a lamdan?) Yeah, certainly, he was a lamdan (-skilled scholar) – and he was a buckee (-extremely proficient) in Tanach (-Torah, Nevee'im Kesoovim – all the written Torah – scriptures) – by heart! And he was a “chuchum atik” (-enormous sage), a very big “bar da'as” (-someone with practical comprehension), and truth - - this is a different sort, this is something else entirely…"

Where the holy Rebbe says like this: Hu-eekar viha-yisoad shehakol tuloy boa … (to bind himself to the tzaddik of the generation)” Nu, one can traverse and say this, and learn it, and - - yeah. “And to accept his words on everything he says that it is so” - when learning this Torah one must give heart well (-pay good attention), and look good upon every word, this is not stam (-plain, ordinary) a chidush (-novel concept), this is for us - - that the holy Rebbe says, “The fundamental and the foundation that everything is contingent upon” …"

      "en": "- - “To bind himself to the tzaddik of the generation!” And this we know that the “tzaddik of the generation” - - the world, when they learn this – this one runs to the Rebbe of Gur, this one runs to Slunim… the tzaddik of the generation! Go tell him… but the Breslover Chasidim know however - - a person looks here - “the tzaddik of the generation” - go figure, there is some sort of tzaddik of the generation – but this is referring and denotes the holy Rebbe'n! Like he said (*Life of Our Leader Rabbi Nachman, article 258)– that he is the manhig (-leader-conducter) of the generation! - He is the tzaddik of the generation! Yeah. And he knew how much we need him, so he had mercy on us, and let us know that the fundamental and the foundation of that everything is contingent upon – what we are missing – everything is here! Everything is contingent on him!"

      "en": "“To bind oneself to the tzaddik of the generation, and to accept his words on everything he says that it is so! - A small matter” - - he speaks out explicitly, and this is all hints for us - “A small matter and a big matter! And not to veer to the right or left, like our Rabbis o.b.m. said (Sifrey, Torah portion of Shoftim), even if he says to you of the right: left” - that is, according to our perception it appears to us - - even if it seems to us that it isn't - - for example, hisbodidus, by the world this is considered – he goes to have hisbodidus?! What will be with Torah?! When will he learn (-study)?! Upon this place he will learn! What will you have from this?! This is “even if he says to you of the right: left!”… And similar things, and similar things, and similar things…."

      "en": "And R' Nussun (Bitalmacher – mentioned above) I saw his motions, and his countenance, and his speech – I saw - - so when I traveled away returning to Tiberius, his words rested inside my heart, what I saw, the facial expressions, how he yearned for the true tachlis (-purpose, end), how he yearned to rectify, to do, to serve Hashem Yisburach! He passed out!"
