רביה"ק; "אני סוד מכל העולם"
Nu, R' Yisroel – every day of the (-his) fifty years was a novelty! Why is that?! Because he felt the secret! He felt the Rebbe'ns Toaroas, with the prayers, with every word of the Rebbe'n – because he put aside his cunning completely, and he had meseeras nefesh (-self sacrifice) so that he could imbibe from Rebbe'n!

רביה"ק; "אני סוד מכל העולם"
אוי ויי - צריכים להתעורר, צריכים לספר זה לזה מהענין של רבינו הקדוש - מענין האור של רבינו הקדוש, שרבינו הקדוש הוא סוד - סוד מהעולם! דהיינו - עדיין אין אנחנו אנשים גדולים כאלה שאצלינו אין זה סוד, רק רבי נתן - רבי נתן יודע קצת, אבל אנחנו - גם אצלינו זה סוד, אנחנו לא יודעים, כי אם היינו יודעים מהסוד הזה אז היינו נעשים ענין אחר לגמרי! - - -
רבי ישראל - הוא היה יחיד בעולם, חד בדרא, הוא היה יחיד בין חסידי ברסלב! למה?! כי הוא חתר את הסוד! הוא זכה לידע מהסוד הזה! יותר מאתנו!
וכן גם אצלינו הוא סוד, התורות של הליקוטי מוהר"ן הם סוד אצלינו, וגדולת רבינו הקדוש הוא סוד אצלינו - אף שאנו יודעים ממנו - - והליקוטי תפלות הוא סוד. כי אם לא היה סוד אז היינו לומדים התורות באופן אחר, והיינו אומרים הליקוטי תפלות באופן אחר, והיה נעשה אור כזה - שכל העולם היו רצים אחרינו! רק מה?! ישנים! לא רואים את הסוד!
רבינו הקדוש אמר; "אני סוד מכל העולם"! מי שיגע יותר, ומי שמשליך את שכלו, ומבקש את האמת, ויש לו מסירת נפש, ולא מסתכל על כבודו ועל ממונו - כמו שצריך - אם היה בנמצא היום כזה, אז היה כל העולם רץ אחר רבי כזה! כן! היה נעשה רעש בעולם! אחד - אחד בעולם היה עושה רעש!...
ואצלינו הוא גם כן סוד - - אצל העולם זה סוד יותר, אבל גם אצלינו זה סוד! כי אם לא היה זה סוד, והיינו לוקחים את הליקוטי תפלות, ולילך לעשות התבודדות, ולעשות מלחמות בעקשנות - שנצא מהעולם הזה, מתאוות העולם הזה!! - - כשיש תפלות כאלה ותורות כאלה - איך יכולים לימשך אחר העולם הזה?!
נו, רבי ישראל - כל יום מחמישים שנותיו היה חידוש! למה?! כי הוא הרגיש את הסוד! הוא הרגיש את התורות של רבינו, ואת התפלות, וכל דיבור מרבינו - כי עזב את שכלו לגמרי, ומסר את נפשו שיוכל לינק מרבינו!
(השואל; הכלל שצריכים לצאת מהבלי העוה"ז כדי שנוכל לזכות - - אה! אה!!! כן כן! זהו הכי קשה מהכל!
(השואל; מה עשה רבי ישראל שיזכה לכל זה? - שיזכה לכל זה?! הוא עזב את השכל! הוא זכה לאמונת חכמים ברבינו הקדוש שהיה ענין אחר לגמרי!

מוהרנ"ת זצ"ל
לרבינו הקדוש היה לו הרבה תלמידים, גדולי עולם. אצל רבינו היה תלמידים שהיו בעלי מקובלים, הם היו צדיקים וקדושים, אנשי אמת, שונאי בצע! זה לא רואים - זה רואים רק אצל רבינו הקדוש! הוא יכול לעשות כזה! אבל אף-על-פי-כן לעומת רבי נתן - - אף אחד לא היה כמו רבי נתן!
לרבינו היה תלמיד "רבי אהרן ברסלב'ר" - רבי אהרן הרב של ברסלב, שרבינו הקדוש אמר עליו גדולות כאלה - אבל אף אחד לא היה כמו רבי נתן! זה היה "רבי" עם "תלמיד" מששת ימי בראשית - שרבי כזה עם תלמיד כזה עדיין לא היה בעולם!
לרבינו הקדוש היה תלמידים - - רבי יודל (מדאשיב זצ"ל הוא היה איש מופת, הוא היה בעל מקובל, אבל רבי נתן היה - -
מה שאנו רואים מכל זה - שרבי נתן הציל אותנו, הוא ידע מרבינו יותר מכל התלמידים, ועבר עליו הרבה, והוא זכה שהוא עשה ספרים כאלה - כל דיבור שלו מציל אותנו! - - המכתבים, ה'עלים לתרופה' - כשאני לוקח את ה'עלים לתרופה' אני לא יכול להתאפק - אני לוקח אל הפה ונושק ונושק.... זה מציל אותי! כל דיבור - מכל מכתב!

(רבי ישראל בער שואל את אחד הנוכחים; האח שלכם, דיברת עמו משהו? האם נעשה עמו איזה שינוי בההתקרבות? ומשיב; קצת, מסתמא איזה משהו קצת נו, זה לא הולך בפעם אחד! כשהמח מורעל - אנחנו מורעלים עם התנגדות - כזה.
אני היה לי נסים - אני נתגדלתי מקטנותי בקרלין, אצלי היה קרלין עולה על הכל - רבי מוטל (קסטלניץ - סלונימער זצ"ל, הדיין ומנהיג חבורת חסידי סלונים בטבריה היה לי כמו אבא, ואני החזקתי אותו כמו מלאך, הוא ג"כ היה חידוש, הוא היה למדן גדול, ירא שמים. האכילה שלו לא היה כאדם פשוט. השינה שלו - תמיד כשהתעורר מהשינה הוא צעק עם קולות להשם יתברך - כדי שיתעורר.
והוא רק למד, לא ידע מרבינו, הוא עדיין היה מתנגד. נו, היה לי נסים - -

(Someone: The rule that it is necessary to get out of the vanities of this world in order to merit - - ) Ah! Ah!!! Yeah yeah! This is harder than everything!

(Someone: What did R' Yisroel do that he merited to come to this?) - So that he achieved this?! He put away his cunning (“saichel” - intellect)! He merited to such a type of faith in the sages (“emoonas chachumim”) in the holy Rebbe'n, so he was entirely something else!

(*See The Life of Our Leader Rabbi Nachman, article 320, “He said, anyone who listens to me, and fulfills everything I command, certainly he will be a great tzaddik, be what may, and the main thing is to cast away one's cunning (“saichel” - intellect) completely, just as he (Rabbainu) says fulfill everything as he said. And he said then the matter of 'A nation which is nuvul (-ingrate/receiver of the Torah) and not wise (-cunning)' as explained in Likutay Moharan, Torah 123.”).

Rabbi Nussun the tzaddik o.b.m.
Segment 6
The holy Rebbe had many disciples, universal greats. By Rebbe'ns disciples there were kabalists, they were tzadikim and kedoashim (-holy), 'men of truth who hate dishonest gain (Exodus, Yisro 18:21)!' This, one doesn't see – this, one sees only by the holy Rebbe'n! He can make such! But nevertheless compared to Rabbi Nussun - - no one, there never came up to Rabbi Nussun!

The Rebbe had a disciple, Rabbi Aaron Breslover – Rabbi Aaron the Rav of Breslov, of whom the holy Rebbe said about him such great things – but (even still) there was never anyone who came up to Rabbi Nussun! This was a “Rebbe with a Talmid (-disciple)” from the Six Days of Creation – which such “a Rebbe with a Talmid” has yet to be in the world!

The holy Rebbe had disciples – R' Yudel (-from Dushiv o.b.m.) was a miracle worker, he was a kabalist, but Rabbi Nussun was - -

What we learn out from this – that Rabbi Nussun saved us, he knew from Rebbe'n more than all the disciples, and he so much surpassed them, and he merited that he made such books – every word of his saves us! - - The letters, the Ullim Litrufa (“Leaves for Healing” - collected letters of Rabbi Nussun) – when I take the Ullim Litrufa I can't hold back – I take it to (my) mouth and am kissing (it) and kissing… this saved me! Every word – from every letter!

(*See the letter from the 11th of Tishray 5593 (Friday, October 5, 1832) where he writes to his son, “And you should show these letters to our fellow men who desire the truth, and return and hide them by you, because they are precious things and they need to be guarded, because they will be needed with the help of Hashem Yisburach to give life to many souls with His great kindness blessed He.” And in the letter from Sunday, Torah Portion of Kedoshim 5591 (1831), “Because I put my hope in Hashem that our letters will be precious in the days to come with the help of Hashem Yisburach, because all of them revolve on the central point of the real truth, to yearn and long for Hashem, and His Torah, and for the true tzaddikim, and for their holy ways etc..”).

(Saba Yisroel asks someone, “Your brother – have you epes (somewhat/somehow) spoken with him? Was there epes (something/somehow) of a change by him in his drawing close to the holy Rebbe'n?” - The person replies, “epes yeah, probably epes yeah.”) – Nu, it doesn't go in one time! When the mind is poisoned – when the mind is poisoned, we are poisoned with opposition – such.

I had miracles – I grew up from infancy in Karlin (-a sect of chasidus), by me Karlin stood higher than everything – Rabbi Muttel (-Kastelnitz – Slunimer o.b.m., the da'yan (judge) and leader of the Slunim Chasidim, Slunim is very closely affiliated with Karlin) was by me like a father, I held of him like an angel, he was also a novelty, he was also a very big lamdan (-skilled scholar), a person with fear of Heaven. His eating was not like that of a coarse (/simple) person. And his sleeping – always when he would wake up from sleeping he would make koaloas (-shout out) to Hashem Yisburach that he should awaken.
