תּוֹרָה רכא
א. עַל־יְדֵי שֶׁנּוֹתְנִים מַעֲשֵׂר, הַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ מוֹשִׁיט יָדוֹ וּמְכַסֶּה עָלָיו בְּצֵל יָדוֹ, וּמַצִּילוֹ מִשּׂוֹנְאָיו:
ב. גַּם זוֹכִין עַל־יְדֵי מַעֲשֵׂר לְהִסְתַּפְּקוּת, שֶׁיִּסְתַּפֵּק עַצְמוֹ בַּמֶּה שֶׁיֵּשׁ לוֹ:

EN:
Through giving tithes [ma'aser] — Hashem Yisborach extends His hand and covers one in the shadow of His hand — and saves one from one's enemies.

Also one merits through tithing to sufficiency [histapkus] — to be satisfied with what one has.
