א. כְּשֶׁאָדָם מְקַדֵּשׁ עַצְמוֹ בַּאֲכִילָתוֹ וּבְכָל עֲסָקָיו, עַל יְדֵי זֶה זוֹכֶה לְהַמְשִׁיךְ הַהוֹלָדָה בִּקְדֻשָּׁה כָּרָאוּי וְעַל יְדֵי זֶה זוֹכֶה לְבָנִים תַּלְמִידֵי חֲכָמִים.
When a person sanctifies himself in his eating and in all his affairs, through this he merits to draw forth procreation [ha'holdah] in holiness as befitting — and through this he merits to have sons who are Torah scholars [banim talmidei chachamim].
