יש צדיק שהוא מפרסם גדול במדינה אחת, ובמדינה הסמוכה אינו חשוב כלל, ושוב במדינה אחרת הוא מפרסם. הוא ענין הכתוב בזהר (תצא ר"פ): מעין דנפק מאתר חד, ואזלי מתחות לארעא עד שנובע ויוצא ברחוק במקום אחר, ואף במקום שהולך תחות ארעא, הוא משקה שרשי אילנא:
132 - There Is a Tzadik Who Is Famous Great in One Country
There is a tzadik who is renowned in one land, yet in the neighboring land is not reckoned at all. Then in a third land he again becomes renowned. Like a spring that emerges in one place, then travels underground until it reemerges at a distant place; even while underground, it nourishes the roots of trees (Zohar Teitzei pg. 280).
