137 – My Portion, O Gd, I Said to Guard Your Words

My portion, O Gd, I have said, is to guard Your words. (Psalm 119:57)

That is: the portion—or spiritual inheritance—that I receive from Above constantly tells me and instructs me to guard Your words.

Explanation: The verse suggests that one's “portion” from Gd—meaning one’s spiritual portion or heavenly insight—serves as a teacher. This divine portion guides and strengthens one’s commitment to obeying Gd’s words. It emphasizes how inspiration from above fosters devotion to Torah observance, reinforcing spiritual growth and discipline.
