וְדַע, שֶׁכָּל אֵלּוּ הַנְּפִילוֹת וְהַיְרִידוֹת וְהַבִּלְבּוּלִים וְכוּ צְרִיכִים בְּהֶכְרֵחַ לַעֲבר בָּהֶם קדֶם שֶׁנִּכְנָסִין בְּשַׁעֲרֵי הַקְּדֻשָּׁה, וְכָל הַצַּדִּיקִים וְהַיְרֵאִים הָאֲמִתִּיִּים עָבְרוּ בְּכָל זֶה

Know that all these falls, descents, confusions, etc. must inevitably be passed through before one enters the gates of holiness — and all the true Tzadikim and those who truly feared G-d passed through all of this.
