I have indeed received his precious letter of 16 Tammuz with his precious donation for a pidyon for him — and many thanks to you — and may the merit of the commandment stand for you — for abundant good — and for all the blessings written in the Torah — and all your wishes for good. And may you be inscribed and sealed in the book of the true righteous ones — for a good life and for peace — and a good and sweet new year. So may it be His will. Amen."

"en": "Yiddish — Should One Pursue Business for More Charity, or Remain a Children's Torah Teacher? \"And what you asked me: whether you should engage in business — perhaps you would earn more — to be able to sustain our Chassidim and to do commandments — or whether you should remain in the livelihood of teaching children — even though the money is less. What shall I say to you? There is no doubt with me at all: that you should remain in the teaching. Just as you yourself write — how satisfied you are that you study with the children — and you have pleasure from it.\" \"And in truth this is very good — that you sit with the holy Torah — for one word of Torah stands higher than all the commandments. And the Rebbe says in the Sefer HaMidos — the entry 'Study' — paragraph 33: 'The habit of study surpasses the fulfillment of all the commandments.' And in particular with children — the breath of the mouth that has no sin — for the world stands on their Torah. It is true that the commandment of charity also stands against all the commandments — but nonetheless: Torah is the aspect of 'your tent' (ahalecha) — the inner dimension — and charity is 'your going out' (tzaytecha) — the outer dimension. You fulfill it by giving your tithe. And in particular — to go out to the street to trade — who knows whether you would even earn more than what you have now. And even if you would have golden successes — sitting with the Torah and the service of Hashem is far more important. And in particular on the street one cannot avoid sins — looking at what is forbidden — and thoughts and sinful musings and so on — and even if you were certain you would not — still: when one is with the Torah and the service of Hashem — one is more refined — and not so physical as from the street. And the charity you give — however much you give — is precious to Hashem as if you had given much — for He knows your desires.\""
