File 10 — *Behanu"a* Transitional Teachings (ל"ד, ל"ג, ל"ג ג"כ) v2 — full audit

[*Behanu"a* = **ב**עזרת **ה**שם **נ**עשה **ו**נצליח **א**מן (*Be-ezras Hashem na'aseh ve-natzliach, Amen*) = **"With Hashem's help we shall do and succeed, Amen"** — a classical Hebrew opening-blessing formula, used to inscribe at the start of a work or section. This signals that Ramchal is beginning a distinct, self-contained block of teachings. Under this heading he presents three short teachings — numbered **34, 33, and "33 likewise"** — each built on an alphabetical acrostic of Divine attributes.] § 63. Teaching 34 (ל"ד) — *Part א: "Kumu Berchu"* **A. "Rise, bless Hashem your G-d from everlasting unto everlasting"** [Nechemiah 9:5]. **Glory and praise, merit and splendor — unto the Holy Name, Life of the Worlds.** **Radiance, splendor, knowledge, will, union, love — of heart — unto the Holy Name, Life of the Worlds.** **Crown, splendor, constancy, love, and *chesed*, melody, uprightness, willingness and eternity, light and praise — unto You, Hashem G-d of Yisrael.**

**Your remembrance unto eternity; Your Oneness unto generation and generation; Your eternity selah and ever; the thundering of the *Serafim*; they declare Your Oneness, Holy-One. Your way, our King, in holiness; Your teaching is for us a splendor; Your praise we shall recount with our mouth. First of all firsts — unique as Your uniqueness is nothing [matchless]. Ruler in all worlds. Peoples shall know You, G-d, and honor You with a crown of holiness. At Your gates in song they shall keep watch; Your faithfulness in the mystery of holy-ones; to Your Name all shall glorify. Our mouth shall utter Your praise; before You the lofty shall be lowered; all things drawn to You shall tremble; Your knowledge with trembling they shall seek — You are Hashem, G-d of Yisrael.**

Part [ב] — "Tehilah Gevurah Etzah Tzedakah"

**[B.] Praise, might, counsel, righteousness — unto the Holy Name, Life of the Worlds.** **Glory, splendor, loftiness, uprightness, knowledge, union, majesty and *chesed*, love — unto the Holy Name, Life of the Worlds.** **Beauty, beloved-friendship and pleasantness; pride, awe, kingdom received; strength, union, splendor; glory, knowledge, uprightness — unto You, Hashem G-d of Yisrael.**

**Power, fear, redemption and justice, splendor, love, light and beauty, song, union, music, uprightness, joy and preciousness, exultation, gladness, melody — they shall give to You, our King, and Your hand — our Savior... Those who seek You shall rejoice in Your Name, beloved-ones of the goodness of the waters, for Your *chesed*, Rock of the worlds; Your beauty glorified forever shall they glorify... and they shall magnify You, the masters of dread; Your knowledge they shall declare in love; the Way they shall seek — those who know Your Name — and unto You the lofty shall bow; the faithful in Your Name shall glorify, and unto You all shall praise;** **Your truth we shall praise with trembling; for Your Glory all You created; Your people shall glorify You — You are Hashem, G-d of Yisrael.** **"And I, in the abundance of Your *chesed*, shall come into Your house; I shall prostrate unto the Sanctuary of Your holiness in awe of You"** [Tehillim 5:8]. **"Hashem, I have heard Your report and feared; Hashem, Your deed in the midst of years — revive it in the midst..."** [Chavakuk 3:2] and so forth.

Part ג — "Malchus Tzedakah"

**C. Kingdom, righteousness, splendor, glory — unto the Holy Name, Life of the Worlds.** **Song, knowledge, union, exaltation, uprightness, shouting-praise and lauding, brightness — unto the Holy Name, Life of the Worlds.** **Rest, rulership, jubilation, knowledge, rectitude, redemption, faith, glory, joy — all together unto You, Hashem G-d of Yisrael.**

**The head of Your word is truth; together they shall bless You, selah. Princes of the height are Your deeds; Your way is to do good to all; to Your Name Your *chasidim* shall praise; Your splendor is upon Your servants; all shall come to serve You, and all the deeds shall proclaim Your Oneness; Your word stands forever; Your loftiness in love we shall tell; Your Oneness we shall recount unto eternity — for You are Master of all, unique Ruler alone, and unto You belongs the kingdom. The way of Your commandments we shall run; the abundance of Your *chesed* we shall praise; they shall exult before You with trembling; those who keep Your commandments shall thank You and rejoice in the portion of their lot; lovers of Your Holy Name, and seekers of Your faithfulness forever; opposite You are all thoughts, and every hidden thing You gaze upon; there is nothing hidden from Your eyes — You are Hashem, G-d of Yisrael.**

**"Rule and dread are with Him, who makes peace in His heights"** [Iyov 25:2]. **"Hashem shall give strength to His people; Hashem shall bless His people with peace"** [Tehillim 29:11].

Part [ד] — "Ahavah Nogah Gedolah Tzedakah"

**[D.] Love, brightness, greatness, righteousness — unto the Holy Name, Life of the Worlds.** **Union, splendor, knowledge, loftiness, uprightness, light — of heart — unto the Holy Name, Life of the Worlds.** **Faith, received-teaching, splendor, willingness, constancy, consolation, might, union, kingdom, of heart, jubilation, knowledge, beloved-friendship, holiness — unto You, Hashem G-d of Yisrael.**

**Unique, alone You rule; and from of old You are our G-d. Those who seek You in Your *chesed* shall exult; the way we shall exalt; Your faithfulness we shall praise; Your law is praise...** **For Your beauty together we await; Your praise shall fill the earth; You see the broken of heart, know the pain of the afflicted; Ruler — and who shall change? Knower of all hidden-things, Understander of every concealment. Generation to generation shall praise You; to You nations shall run; for Your Name islands shall hope; You redeemed the destitute from the pit; by Your judgments all shall stand; from Your dread the lofty shall be terrified; Treader of the heights of the proud — You are Hashem, G-d of Yisrael.**

§ 64. Teaching 33 (ל"ג) — "Echad Elokeinu Tzaddik Hu"

Unique, alone; His Name is glorified; His kingdom unto eternity; His Throne unto forever; He raises the lowly and saves the crushed; Seeker of the humble; upright are His ways; Benefactor to all and Provider to all — *YHVH, YHVH*** [[יקו"ק יקו"ק] — the Tetragrammaton **repeated**, echoing the opening of the 13 Middos of Mercy (Shemos 34:6: "Hashem, Hashem, G-d compassionate...")] **G-d of Yisrael.**

**C. Keeper of His beloved-ones; Lover of the humble; Seeker of the lowly; weighty is His Name; together majestic; His beauty is forgiveness; merciful and gracious; Dweller in the heights; His faithfulness is forever; to those who call Him He is found — *SHADA"Y YKVK*** [[שד"י יקו"ק]] **G-d of Yisrael.**

§ 65. Teaching 33 Likewise (ל"ג ג"כ) — The Brief Recapitulation

**A. One are You; majestic are You; ancient are You; the G-d is One.** **B. The Way is upon us, G-d; unite Yourself upon us, G-d; and appoint Yourself upon us, G-d; the G-d, Benefactor — we shall sing to You.** **C. The G-d, Benefactor; the faithful Rock; Unique Shepherd; and merciful Father...** [The source ends this section with an ellipsis followed by **תושלב"ע** (*tushlav"a*) = the Hebrew abbreviation for "**completed and finished, praise to G-d, Creator of the world**" — signifying the close of this transitional block of teachings before the Four Worlds begin.]
