## Segment 1

מִי שֶׁיֵּשׁ לוֹ בִּטָּחוֹן, אֵין לוֹ שׁוּם פַּחַד.

1. One who has trust (in G-d) does not have any fear.


## Segment 2

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי בִּטָּחוֹן בָּא שָׁלוֹם.

2. Through trust (in G-d) comes peace.


## Segment 3

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

בִּטָּחוֹן בָּא עַל־יְדֵי יִרְאַת־שָׁמַיִם.

3. Trust (in G-d) comes through fear of Heaven.


## Segment 4

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי אֱמוּנָה יָבֹא לְבִטָּחוֹן.

</div>

4. Through faith, one will come to trust (in G-d).


## Segment 5

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁאֵין לוֹ בִּטָּחוֹן, הוּא דּוֹבֵר שְׁקָרִים.

5. One who doesn't have trust (in G-d), he tells lies.


## Segment 6

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי שְׁקָרִים אֵינוֹ יָכוֹל לִבְטֹחַ בֶּאֱמֶת.

6. Through lies, one cannot have real trust (4. Through faith, one will come to trust (in G-d).


## Segment 7

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁבָּטוּחַ בְּהַשֵׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ, הַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא מַצִּילוֹ מִכָּל צָרוֹת וּבִפְרָט מֵהֲרִיגָה.

7. One who is confident in the blessed G-d, the Holy One Blessed be He saves him from all troubles, and especially from being murdered.


## Segment 8

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי בִּטָּחוֹן אֵין אָדָם צָרִיךְ לַחֲבֵרוֹ גַּם אֵין אָדָם מַכְלִימוֹ.

8. Through trust (in G-d), a person does not need to come onto his friend. Also, no person will (can) embarrass him.


## Segment 9

עַל־יְדֵי בִּטָּחוֹן אָדָם נִצּוֹל מִדְּאָגָה.

9. Through trust (in G-d), a person is saved from worry.


## Segment 10

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי בִּטָּחוֹן יִזְכֶּה לֵידַע שְׁמוֹת הַקֹּדֶשׁ.

10. Through trust (in G-d), one merits to know holy names.


## Segment 11

מִי שֶׁאֵין לוֹ מִדַּת הַבִּטָּחוֹן, יִשְׁמֹר אֶת עַצְמוֹ שֶׁלֹּא לְבַיֵּשׁ שׁוּם אָדָם גַּם יִזָּהֵר לְהִתְפַּלֵּל בְּכַוָּנַת הַלֵּב.

11. One who does not possess the trait of trust (in G-d), should guard himself not to embarrass any man, also he should be careful to pray with intention (of the heart).


## Segment 12

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁיֵּשׁ לוֹ בִּטָּחוֹן, לֹא יִתְקַצְּרוּ יָמָיו.

12. One who has trust (in G-d) will not die before his time.


## Segment 13

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁאֵין לוֹ בִּטָּחוֹן, יָקוּם קֹדֶם אוֹר הַבֹּקֶר וְיֹאמַר בַּקָּשׁוֹת בְּקוֹל רָם.

13. One who does not have trust (in G-d) should rise before the dawn and say supplications aloud.


## Segment 14

עַל־יְדֵי שְׁתִיקָה יִזְכֶּה לְבִטָּחוֹן.

</div>

14. Through being silent, one will merit to trust (in G-d).


## Segment 15

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי זְהִירוּת מִלִּתֵּן תְּקִיעַת־כַּף יִזְכֶּה לְמִדַּת הַבִּטָּחוֹן. גַּם עַל־יְדֵי שֶׁלֹּא יִתְחַבֵּר עִם רְשָׁעִים.

15. Through being careful not to shake hands (to seal an agreement), one merits to the attribute of trust (in G-d). Also through not associating with the wicked.


## Segment 16

עַל־יְדֵי חֲנֻפָּה נֶאֱבָד הַבִּטָּחוֹן.

16. Through adulation, trust (in G-d) is lost.


## Segment 17

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מֵי הַיַּרְדֵּן הֵם סְגֻלָּה לְבִטָּחוֹן.

</div>

17. The waters of the Jordan are a segulah (-propitious) for trust (in G-d).


## Segment 18

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי הַבִּטָּחוֹן הָאָדָם נִתְקָרֵב לְהַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ.

18. Through trust (in G-d), a person comes close to the blessed G-d.


## Segment 19

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁבּוֹטֵחַ בָּעַכּוּ"ם, דִּילֵהּ דִּילְהוֹן.

</div>

19. One who trusts in gentiles, what is his - is (will be) theirs .


## Segment 20

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

כְּשֶׁעוֹשֶׂה אָדָם אֵיזֶהוּ דָּבָר בֶּאֱמוּנָה וְנִכְשָׁל בְּאֵיזֶה מִכְשׁוֹל, יִבְטַח שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא יַצִּילוֹ, וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ־ בָּרוּךְ־הוּא הִזְמִין לוֹ אֶת הַמִּכְשׁוֹל כְּדֵי שֶׁיַּעֲשֶׂה דֶּרֶךְ כְּבוּשָׁה לְבָנָיו בְּזֹאת הַמִּכְשׁוֹל, שֶׁיִּנָּצְלוּ מִמֶּנּוּ.

1. When a person carries out an act with faith, and is ensnared by some type of hitch (or violation of the Torah), he should trust that the Holy One, Blessed be He will save him, (and) the Holy One Blessed He set this pitfall for him, so that he would blaze a path for his descendents in this trapping, that they will be saved from it.


## Segment 21

מִי שֶׁנִּשְׁמָר מֵהִרְהוּרֵי עֲבוֹדָה זָרָה, זוֹכֶה בְּכָל פַּעַם לְבִטָּחוֹן עַד שֶׁאֵינוֹ דּוֹאֵג מַה יֹּאכַל לְמָחָר, וְהוּא בְּמַדְרֵגַת "בָּרוּךְ ה' יוֹם יוֹם", וְעַל־יְדֵי זֶה [הַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא] לֹא הִבִּיט אָוֶן וְלֹא רָאָה עָמָל בּוֹ, וְכָל הַנּוֹגֵעַ בּוֹ כְּאִלּוּ נוֹגֵעַ בְּבַת־עֵינוֹ.

2. One who guards himself from thoughts of idolatry, merits every time to (attain) trust (in G-d), until he (attains such trust that he) does not worry what he will eat tomorrow (even though he has nothing for the next day, he trusts the G-d will provide. t.n.). This is the level of "Blessed is the L-rd, day by day" (Psalms 68:20). Through this, the Holy One, Blessed be He does not see wrongdoing or evil in him, and all who harm (lit. touch) him, it is as if they harm (lit. touch) the pupil of G-d's eye (so to speak).
