## Segment 1

כָּל הַמּוֹצִיא מַעַשְׂרוֹתָיו כָּרָאוּי, אֵינוֹ מַפְסִיד כְּלוּם.

1. Anyone who gives his tithes properly does not lose anything (to the tithing. t.n.).


## Segment 2

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

תִּתְחַבֵּר לְמַצְלִיחַ וְתַצְלִיחַ.

</div>

2. Join a successful person, and you will be successful.


## Segment 3

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

אֵין הַבְּרָכָה מְצוּיָה אֶלָּא בְּדָבָר הַסָּמוּי מִן הָעַיִן.

</div>

3. Blessing abounds only on something that it is hidden from sight.


## Segment 4

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

הַצְלָחָה – סִיַּעְתָּא דִשְׁמַיָּא הִיא.

</div>

4. Success – assistance from Heaven brings it (it is).


## Segment 5

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁנִּפְסְקָה לוֹ הַהַצְלָחָה וְאֵינוֹ מַצְלִיחַ, לֹא בִּמְהֵרָה יַצְלִיחַ.

5. Someone whose success has ceased and is not successful will not come to success quickly.


## Segment 6

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

תֵּכֶף לְתַלְמִידֵי־חֲכָמִים בְּרָכָה בְּמַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵיהֶם.

</div>

6. Immediately after Torah scholars there is blessing in the work of their hands (t.n. Rashi in tractate Brachos explains this to mean someone who befriends a Torah scholar or hosts him will immediately afterwards have blessing in the work of their hands. t.n. See also #16).


## Segment 7

עֵסֶק הַתּוֹרָה הִיא סְגֻלָּה לְהַצְלָחָה.

7. Engagement in Torah is a segulah for success.


## Segment 8

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁאֵינוֹ מְשַׁיֵּר פַּת עַל שֻׁלְחָנוֹ, אֵינוֹ רוֹאֶה סִימָן בְּרָכָה לְעוֹלָם.

8. Someone who does not leave over bread on his table never sees the sign of blessing.


## Segment 9

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

כֵּיוָן שֶׁלֹּא הִזְכִּיר אֶלָּא צַד אֶחָד הַטּוֹב וְלֹא הַהֵפֶךְ, אֵין זֶה נִחוּשׁ.

9. Since he only mentioned the one good side and not the reverse, this is not considered divining (t.n. The Torah forbids one to make readings of occurrences to decide what the future holds and how to proceed, whether or not to do something or in which direction to go. However one is permitted to make for himself a one sided sign of success, that such and such an occurrence will be a sign of success).


## Segment 10

בַּיִת, תִּינוֹק, וְאִשָּׁה, הֵם סִימָן לְהַצְלָחָה.

10. A house, child, and wife are omens for success.


## Segment 11

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁמְּגָרֵשׁ אֶת אִשְׁתּוֹ, אֵינוֹ מַצְלִיחַ.

</div>

11. Someone who divorces his wife will not be successful.


## Segment 12

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁהַשָּׁעָה מַצְלַחַת לוֹ, לִבּוֹ רָם עָלָיו גַּם אֵימָתוֹ מֻטֶּלֶת עַל הַבְּרִיּוֹת.

12. Someone whom the hour is fortunate for him, his heart is exalted, also the fear of him is cast on everyone (lit. all creatures).


## Segment 13

מִי שֶׁאֵינוֹ מְדַבֵּר דְּבָרִים בְּטֵלִים, מַצְלִיחַ בְּכָל מַעֲשָׂיו.

13. Someone who does not speak unnecessary words is successful in everything he does.


## Segment 14

מִי שֶׁאוֹמֵר תָּמִיד אֱמֶת, הוּא מַצְלִיחַ.

</div>

14. Someone who always speaks the truth, he is successful.


## Segment 15

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי וִדּוּי תַּצְלִיחַ.

</div>

15. Through confession, you will be successful.


## Segment 16

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

הַצְלָחָה בָּא, לְמִי שֶׁמַּאֲכִיל תַּלְמִיד־חָכָם עַל שֻׁלְחָנוֹ.

</div>

16. Success comes to one who feeds a Torah scholar on his table.


## Segment 17

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

כְּשֶׁאֵין לְךָ אֱמֶת, אֲזַי נִטָּל מִמְּךָ הַהַצְלָחָה וְנִתָּן לָאֻמּוֹת.

17. When you do not have truth, success is taken from you and given to the gentiles (lit. the nations).


## Segment 18

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

לְהַצְלָחָה תִּשְׁמַע כְּשֶׁהַצַּדִּיק אוֹמֵר יִחוּד הַשֵּׁם, הַיְנוּ שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל.

18. For success, listen when the Tzaddik recites the unification of G-d's Name, that is Shimma Yisroel.


## Segment 19

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי אֱמוּנַת חֲכָמִים בָּא הַצְלָחָה.

</div>

19. Through faith in the sages comes success.


## Segment 20

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁהוּא שָׂמֵחַ תָּמִיד, עַל־יְדֵי זֶה הוּא מַצְלִיחַ.

</div>

1. One who is always happy, through this he is successful.


## Segment 21

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

צָרִיךְ לְכַבֵּד לָזֶה שֶׁהַשָּׁעָה מְשַׂחֶקֶת לוֹ.

</div>

2. One must honor someone to whom the hour is fortunate.


## Segment 22

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁהוּא מֻצְלָח, הַזְּמַן בְּיָדוֹ.

</div>

3. A successful person, the time is in his hand.
