## Segment 1

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

אֵין עוֹשִׂין נֵס אֶלָּא לְמִי שֶׁיֵּשׁ לוֹ מְסִירוּת־נֶפֶש עַל קִדּוּשׁ־הַשֵּׁם.

1. A miracle is only done for someone who has self-sacrifice to sanctify the name of G-d.


## Segment 2

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

הַשָּׂמֵחַ בְּיִסּוּרִין, מֵבִיא יְשׁוּעָה.

2. One who is joyous amidst suffering brings salvation.


## Segment 3

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי הִתְבּוֹדְדוּת בָּא יְשׁוּעָה.

</div>

3. Through hisbodidus (speaking to G-d in seclusion) comes salvation.


## Segment 4

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי נִסָּיוֹן עוֹשִׂין לוֹ נֵס.

</div>

4. Through one's passing a test, a miracle is done for him .


## Segment 5

עַל־יְדֵי צְדָקָה בָּא יְשׁוּעָה.

</div>

5. Through charity comes salvation.


## Segment 6

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי צְנִיעוּת שֶׁל אָדָם מַחֲזִירִין לוֹ כָּל הַטּוֹבוֹת, שֶׁנָּטַל אָדָם אַחֵר בִּתְפִלּוֹתָיו.

6. Through the modesty of a man, he receives in return, all the good that was taken from him by another through the other's prayers.


## Segment 7

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

אֵין עוֹשִׂין נֵס לְנוֹאֵף.

</div>

7. A miracle is not done for one who is promiscuous.


## Segment 8

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

אַל תִּסְמֹךְ עַל הַנֵּס, כָּל זְמַן שֶׁאֶפְשָׁר לְךָ לְהִנָּצֵל בְּמָמוֹן אוֹ בְּדָבָר אַחֵר.

8. Do not depend on a miracle, as long as it is possible to be saved through money or other means.


## Segment 9

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

קֹדֶם שֶׁעוֹשֶׂה הַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא נֵס לָאָדָם, הָאָדָם הַזֶּה נוֹפֵל לְרָעָה, וְהַכֹּל לְפִי גֹּדֶל הַנֵּס.

9. Before the Holy One -Blessed is He- does a miracle for a man, the man falls into evil, completely according to the magnitude of the miracle.


## Segment 10

מִי שֶׁאֵינוֹ מַזְכִּיר שֵׁם עֲבוֹדָה זָרָה, הַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־ הוּא עוֹשֶׂה לוֹ טוֹבוֹת.

10. One who does not mention names of foreign deities, the Holy One -Blessed is He- does him favors.


## Segment 11

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁצָּרִיךְ לְאֵיזֶה יְשׁוּעָה, יְשַׂמַּח אֶת הַצַּדִּיק.

11. One who needs a salvation should give happiness to the Tzaddik.


## Segment 12

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי בִּטָּחוֹן הָאָדָם נִפְלָט מִצָּרוֹתָיו.

</div>

12. Through trust, a man is saved (ejected) from his troubles.


## Segment 13

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי צְדָקָה תִּזְכֶּה, שֶׁלֹּא תִּצְטָרֵךְ לִישׁוּעַת אָדָם.

13. Through charity you will merit that you will not need salvation of man (i.e. through other people).


## Segment 14

עַל־יְדֵי בִּטָּחוֹן תִּזְכֶּה לְהָבִין, שֶׁיְּשׁוּעָתְךָ מֵאֵת הַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא וְלֹא מֵאָדָם.

14. Through trust you will merit to understand that your salvation is from G-d, and not from man.


## Segment 15

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

גַּם עַל־יְדֵי אֱמֶת תִּזְכֶּה לְזֶה.

</div>

15. Also through truth you will merit this.


## Segment 16

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

כְּשֶׁאָדָם בָּא לְאֵיזֶה נִסָּיוֹן, יֵדַע כְּשֶׁיַּעֲמוֹד בְּזֶה הַנִּסָּיוֹן, שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא יַעֲשֶׂה לוֹ נֵס.

16. When a person comes to a test, he should know that if he stands in it (i.e. not succumb to temptation), the Holy One, Blessed is He- will do a miracle for him.


## Segment 17

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי בִּטָּחוֹן יִזְכֶּה לִשְׂמֹחַ בְּחֶסֶד הַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ.

17. Through trust, one merits to rejoice in the kindness of the Blessed G-d.


## Segment 18

עַל־יְדֵי לִמּוּד בַּעֲמִידָה מֵפֵר עֲצַת הָאֻמּוֹת.

18. Through learning in a standing position, one annuls the scheming of the nations.


## Segment 19

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי תַּעֲנִית הָאָדָם נִצּוֹל מִמִּיתָה.

</div>

19. Through a fast, a man is saved from death.


## Segment 20

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי בִּטָּחוֹן יֵעָשֶׂה לְךָ חֶסֶד.

</div>

20. Through having trust, kindness will be met out to you.


## Segment 21

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי עֲנָוָה בָּא יְשׁוּעָה.

</div>

21. Through humility comes salvation.


## Segment 22

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁמִּתְפַּלֵּל בְּשִׂמְחָה, יִזְכֶּה לִשְׂמֹחַ בִּישׁוּעָתוֹ.

22. One who prays joyfully will merit rejoicing in His salvation.


## Segment 23

הַנֵּס בָּא עַל־יְדֵי אֱמֶת.

23. A miracle comes through truth.


## Segment 24

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

הַנֵּס בָּא עַל־יְדֵי יִרְאָה.

</div>

24. A miracle comes through fear of G-d.


## Segment 25

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁמּוֹדִיעַ דֶּרֶךְ ה' לָרַבִּים, עַל־יְדֵי זֶה אֲפִלּוּ כְּשֶׁהוּא בֵּין הַגּוֹיִים, הַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא מוֹשִׁיעַ לוֹ.

25. One who makes known the Way of G-d to the many, through this, even if he is amongst the gentiles, the Holy One -Blessed is He- saves him.


## Segment 26

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁמִּתְפַּלֵּל כָּל הַיּוֹם, עַל־יְדֵי זֶה מְקַבֵּל [יִזְכֶּה לְקַבֵּל] יְשׁוּעָה.

26. One who prays all day long, through this he will merit to receive salvation.


## Segment 27

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

כְּשֶׁיִּשְׂרָאֵל דּוֹבְרֵי אֱמֶת, עַל־יְדֵי זֶה נִשְׁפָּע לָהֶם הַחֶסֶד מִן הַשָּׁמַיִם.

27. When the Jews speak the truth, through this kindness is sent to them from Heaven.


## Segment 28

עַל־יְדֵי הַנִּגּוּנִים שֶׁאַתָּה מְשׁוֹרֵר, אַתָּה מְעוֹרֵר אֶת הַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא, שֶׁיִּסְתַּכֵּל בָּאֻמָּה הַזּוֹ, שֶׁאַתָּה מְשׁוֹרֵר אֶת הַנִּגּוּן שֶׁלָּהּ לָמָּה הִיא מְשַׁעְבֶּדֶת בְּךָ.

28. Through the melodies that you sing, you arouse the Holy One -Blessed is He- to look upon the nation whose melody you are singing – why it subjugates you.
