## Segment 1

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

אַל תִּשְׁאַל עֵצָה אֶלָּא מִמִּי שֶׁיּוֹדֵעַ סִתְרֵי תּוֹרָה.

1. Do not ask advice except from one who knows secrets of the Torah.


## Segment 2

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

טוֹב לִשְׁאֹל עֵצָה מִזְּקֵנִים.

</div>

2. It is good to ask advice from the elderly.


## Segment 3

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

הַנּוֹתֵן לַחֲבֵרוֹ עֵצָה שֶׁאֵינָהּ הוֹגֶנֶת לוֹ, עַל־יְדֵי־זֶה נוֹפְלִים לוֹ מַחְשְׁבוֹת עֲבוֹדָה זָרָה.

3. One who gives his fellow advice inappropriate for him, through this he is beset by idolatrous thoughts.


## Segment 4

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁהוּא בַּעַל מַחֲשָׁבוֹת רָעוֹת, אַל תִּקַּח עֵצָה מִמֶּנּוּ.

4. Someone who is accustomed to having bad thoughts, do not take advice from him.


## Segment 5

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי שֶׁאַתָּה נוֹטֵל עֵצָה מֵהָרַב, עַל־יְדֵי זֶה תִּזְכֶּה לִישׁוּעָה.

5. Through that which you take advice from the official rabbi, through this you will merit salvation.


## Segment 6

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

כְּשֶׁאַתָּה רוֹאֶה, שֶׁרֵעֶיךָ אֵינָם עוֹזְרִים לְךָ, בְּיָדוּעַ שֶׁאֵין שׁוּם עֵצָה מוֹעִיל לְךָ.

6. When you see that your friends are not helping you, it is known that no advice (or remedy) will help you.


## Segment 7

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

כְּשֶׁאַתָּה עוֹזֵר לִבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל, יוֹעִיל לְךָ עֵצָה.

7. When you help the Jewish People, advice can help you.


## Segment 8

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

הָעֵצָה הִיא מְסֻגֶּלֶת יוֹתֵר בַּשָּׂדֶה.

</div>

8. Advice is more auspicious (segulah) in a field.


## Segment 9

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

הַהוֹלֵךְ אַחַר עֲצַת אִשְׁתּוֹ, נוֹפֵל בְּגֵיהִנֹּם.

</div>

9. One who follows the advice of his wife falls into Hell.


## Segment 10

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

אַל תִּשְׁאַל עֵצָה אֶלָּא מֵאִישׁ וְלֹא מֵאִשָּׁה.

</div>

10. Do not ask advice; only from a man, and not from a woman.
