## Segment 1

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁמְּרַחֵם עַל עֲנִיִּים, זוֹכֶה לִרְאוֹת בְּנֶחָמוֹת הַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ.

1. One who has mercy on the poor, merits to see the comfort of G-d, may He be blessed.


## Segment 2

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

גַּם מְנַצֵּחַ תָּמִיד.

</div>

2. Also, he will always win.


## Segment 3

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

כְּשֶׁאֵין רַחֲמָנוּת, אֲזַי רָעָב בָּא לָעוֹלָם.

3. When there is no mercy, hunger comes to the world.


## Segment 4

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

גַּם גְּזֵלוֹת נִתְרַבֶּה.

</div>

4. Also, theft increases.


## Segment 5

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁמִּתְפַּלֵּל בְּכֹחַ, זוֹכֶה לְרַחֵם עַל עֲנִיִּים.

5. One who prays with force merits to have mercy on the poor.


## Segment 6

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁאֵין לוֹ רַחֲמָנוּת נִשְׁתַּגֵּעַ.

</div>

6. One who does not have mercy goes insane.


## Segment 7

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

מִי שֶׁמְּשַׁלֵּם טוֹבָה תַּחַת רָעָה, מַאֲרִיךְ יָמִים וְשָׁנִים.

7. One who pays back good for evil, increases the length of his days and years.


## Segment 8

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

עַל־יְדֵי הָרַחֲמָנוּת יִתְבַּטֵּל מִמְּךָ תַּאֲווֹת.

</div>

8. Through having mercy, your base desires are annulled.


## Segment 9

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

כְּשֶׁאַתָּה רוֹאֶה, שֶׁאָחִיךָ בְּצָרָה, וְאֵין אַתָּה עוֹזֵר לוֹ, כְּאִלּוּ אַתָּה עָשִׂיתָ לוֹ הָרָעָה.

9. When you see that your brother is in pain, and you do not help him, it is as if you did the harm.


## Segment 10

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

הָרוֹאֶה חֲבֵירוֹ בְּצַעַר, צָרִיךְ שֶׁיְּבַקֵּשׁ עָלָיו רַחֲמִים.

10. One who sees his friend in pain must ask for mercy on his behalf.


## Segment 11

עַל־יְדֵי בַּקָּשַׁת הָרַחֲמִים זוֹכֶה לַעֲשׂוֹת שִׁדּוּכִים טוֹבִים הֲגוּנִים.

11. Through asking for mercy, one merits to make marital matches which are good and honorable.


## Segment 12

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

הַדָּן אֶת בְּנֵי־אָדָם לְכַף זְכוּת, יִזְכֶּה לְקַבֵּל אֶת הַמּוֹעֲדִים כַּנָּכוֹן.

12. One who judges people favorably merits receiving the festivals appropriately.


## Segment 13

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

בִּשְׁבִיל שֶׁאֵין מְבַקְשִׁין רַחֲמִים עַל חֲבֵרוֹ, עַל־יְדֵי זֶה נוֹפֵל לִתְפִיסָה. וְתִקּוּן לִתְפִיסָה – שֶׁיְּפַרְנֵס אֵיזֶהוּ בַּעֲלֵי־חַיִּים.

1. Due to not asking mercy for one's friend, through this one falls into imprisonment. A repair for being imprisoned is to feed some animal.


## Segment 14

כְּאֵב הַשִּׁנַּיִם בָּא עַל־יְדֵי אַכְזָרִיּוּת עַל בַּעֲלֵי־חַיִּים.

2. Toothache comes through cruelty to animals.


## Segment 15

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

סְגֻלָּה לְהָסִיר הָעַצְבוּת – עַל־יְדֵי הָרַחֲמָנוּת.

3. A segulah (conducive) to remove sadness – through mercy.


## Segment 16

<div dir="rtl" lang="he">

צָרִיךְ לִשְׁמֹר אֶת עַצְמוֹ מִלְּצַעֵר אֶת בַּעֲלֵי־חַיִּים, כִּי יַזִּיק לוֹ.

4. It is necessary to guard one's self from causing animals pain, for it will harm him.
