Chapter Twenty-Three: A Prayer to Merit Emunah and Healing

Master of the Universe, full of mercy, Who performs wonders — You Who perform wonders at all times, and have already performed with Israel great and awesome miracles and wonders in every generation: have mercy on us now in this generation, in these times of distress, during which the holy emunah has been greatly damaged through our many sins, and many of Your people have stumbled. Perform with us wonders and grant us to delve and to uncover the deep waters from which the holy emunah grows. May we merit to search ourselves always at all times — how we hold onto the holy emunah — and to strengthen ourselves in additional emunah at all times, with a sincere heart and in truth, according to Your good will in truth. May we merit to raise up the fallen emunah and to repair all the deficiencies of emunah. May the holy emunah grow and strengthen with all might and power. May we merit to believe in You and in Your true tzadikim with strong and firm emunah — with complete and holy emunah, pure and certain, clear and upright and clarified, without any confusions or alien thoughts at all.

May we merit to draw down complete healing to all the ill of Your people the house of Israel — (and in particular for [name son/daughter of name]) — O G-d, please heal him, a healing of the soul and a healing of the body. Raise up recovery and healing for all our ailments and all our pains. Cancel and remove all the hidden afflictions and evil and faithful diseases from us and from all Your people the house of Israel. Send complete healing from Heaven to all those souls upon whom You have brought such hidden afflictions — upon whom have come extraordinary afflictions for which no medicine in the world avails them, not prayer, not the merit of the forefathers, not any voice of cry and groaning — all of which stems from the deficiency of emunah. Please Hashem — have mercy on them and on us for Your sake and for the sake of all the true tzadikim. Act in accordance with the greatness of Your awesome wonders. Remove illness from our midst. Send to them and to us complete healing among all the ill of Israel — for You, O G-d and King, are a faithful and merciful healer. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart find favor before You, Hashem, my Rock and my Redeemer.
