נָשִׁים, בַּמֶּה זוֹכְיָן, מַה יֵּשׁ לָהֶם, אֵיזֶה חַיִּים יֵשׁ לָהֶם לַנָּשִׁים? הֵם צְרִיכִים לְהוֹלִיד בָּנִים וּלְגַדֵּל אוֹתָם וְלִלְמֹד לְחַנֵּךְ אוֹתָם בַּתּוֹרָה וּמִצְווֹת. זֶה הָעֲבוֹדָה יֵשׁ לָנוּ בְּזֶה הָעוֹלָם. הָיָה לָנוּ אֲבוֹתֵינוּ הַקְּדוֹשִׁים, אַבְרָהָם, יִצְחָק, יַעֲקֹב, הֵם נָתְנוּ לָנוּ הַתּוֹרָה הַקְּדוֹשָׁה שֶׁכָּל דִּבּוּר הוּא כָּל חִיּוּתֵנוּ, מְלַמְּדִים אוֹתָנוּ מַה יֵּשׁ לָנוּ לַעֲשׂוֹת בְּזֶה הָעוֹלָם, לְהָבִיא יְלָדִים וּלְחַנֵּךְ אוֹתָם כַּכָּתוּב בַּתּוֹרָה. לְהַאֲמִין בַּשֵּׁם בַּתּוֹרָה וּבַמִּצְווֹת, לְהוֹדִיעָם שֶׁיִּהְיוּ בְּשִׂמְחָה תָּמִיד. יֵשׁ לָנוּ כְּבָר עֲבוֹדָה, עֲבוֹדָה כָּזוֹ...

בֶּאֱמוּנָה, רַק בֶּאֱמוּנָה, זֶה הָעִקָּר הַכְּלִי שֶׁל הַשִּׂמְחָה, רַק אֱמוּנָה וּתְפִלָּה. בָּרוּךְ הַשֵּׁם צְרִיכִים לִשְׂמֹחַ, צְרִיכִים לְהִשְׁתַּדֵּל בְּכָל הַכֹּחַ לִהְיוֹת בְּשִׂמְחָה וּלְהוֹדוֹת לְהַשֵּׁם שֶׁהוּא עוֹשֶׂה עִמָּנוּ חֲסָדִים כָּאֵלֶּה, יֵשׁ לָנוּ חֲסָדִים וּמַתָּנוֹת טוֹבִים כָּאֵלֶּה שֶׁאֵין לְשַׁעֵר וְאֵיךְ לְהַעֲרִיךְ, בָּרוּךְ הַשֵּׁם.
Oy — one must speak simply with the mouth. What is written in the book — speak it with the mouth simply, and believe that Hashem hears every prayer and every good desire we have. Hashem knows everything and helps us and wants to help us. We must long for this and pray to Hashem that we merit to know Hashem, that we merit to believe in Hashem and to occupy ourselves with and observe the Torah and mitzvos. This is the essential of life — this is it. All our life-force is from the Torah and the mitzvos — this is all life!
Segment 4
רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ הוּא בֶּן שִׂמְחָה, הוּא רַק שִׂמְחָה. רַב שְׁלֹמֹה וֶקְסְלֶר הוּא אִישׁ קָדוֹשׁ, הוּא אָמַר: "אֲנַחְנוּ אֵין לָנוּ - אֶלָּא דִּבְרֵי בֶּן שִׂמְחָה!" בֶּן שִׂמְחָה זֶהוּ נַחְמָן, רַבִּי נַחְמָן בֶּן שִׂמְחָה. אַשְׁרֵינוּ שֶׁזָּכִינוּ לְהִתְקָרֵב לְרַבֵּנוּ, הוּא הַשִּׂמְחָה, הוּא כָּל חִיּוּתֵנוּ, כָּל שִׂמְחָתֵנוּ, הוּא הַכֹּל!
The essential — the heart. To long, to pray to Hashem: "Master of the Universe — merciful and gracious one — have mercy on me that I merit to know You and serve You in truth and with emunah." This is it — this is the essential of life. A life of emunah, of bitachon, a life of joy — this is joy! If not this — then tomorrow or the day after one dies. So what joy is there? What remains from all the desires, from everything? We are the Jewish people — we received the Torah and we are the people of the Torah, the people of Hashem. Our holy Rabbenu says: "What does a Jewish person have to do in this world — what is there, what is his service? To pray and to study and to pray — this is the service!"
Segment 5
אוֹי, כַּמָּה שֶׁהוּא רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ דִּבֵּר בִּסְפָרָיו הַקְּדוֹשִׁים מִשִּׂמְחָה, בִּפְרָט מִשִּׂמְחָה בְּשַׁבָּת קֹדֶשׁ. רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ הוּא אוֹמֵר שֶׁשִּׂמְחָה זֶה רְפוּאָה לְכָל הַגּוּף, שִׂמְחָה. כָּתוּב בְּסֵפֶר 'לִקּוּטֵי מוֹהֲרַ"ן': "מִצְוָה גְּדוֹלָה לִהְיוֹת בְּשִׂמְחָה תָּמִיד!" לֹא רַק לִהְיוֹת בְּשִׂמְחָה - אֶלָּא תָּמִיד, תָּמִיד תִּהְיֶה בְּשִׂמְחָה, זֶה דָּבָר טוֹב. שִׂמְחָה כָּזוֹ, חַיִּים כָּזֶה אֵין בְּכָל הָעוֹלָם, רַק אֵצֶל רַבֵּנוּ - יֵשׁ! אֲבָל מִחוּץ לְרַבֵּנוּ - אֵין בְּכָל הָעוֹלָם!
One must seek as one seeks a treasure — to seek ways of how to merit to live a life of Torah and emunah, a life of joy, a life that is called life. Emunah is all our life-force — believing in Hashem who hears our prayer. Every day we speak with Hashem and ask and pray that He be with us — that we merit to pray, that we merit to truly serve Hashem, to do true teshuvah…
