# Chapter Fifty-Six: To Study and to Fulfill

## Segment 1
רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ הֵכִין רְפוּאוֹת לְכָל אֶחָד, דִּבּוּר אֶחָד: "מִצְוָה גְּדוֹלָה לִהְיוֹת בְּשִׂמְחָה תָּמִיד", בָּזֶה יֵשׁ לָנוּ כְּבָר כָּל הָרְפוּאוֹת שֶׁבָּעוֹלָם!
Rabbi Yisroel joyfully sings a song that our people were accustomed to sing:
## Segment 2
רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ הוּא יָחִיד שֶׁאָמַר "מִצְוָה גְּדוֹלָה לִהְיוֹת בְּשִׂמְחָה תָּמִיד", מִצְוָה זֶה דָּבָר גָּדוֹל, מַה הַמִּצְוָה? "לִהְיוֹת בְּשִׂמְחָה תָּמִיד". נוּ, נִרְאֶה מִי רוֹצֶה מִצְוָה גְּדוֹלָה? יֵשׁ לָנוּ הַמִּצְוָה פֹּה וּפֹה וּפֹה, בְּכָל מָקוֹם. רַבֵּנוּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ נָתַן לָנוּ מִצְוָה כָּזֶה.. "מִצְוָה גְּדוֹלָה לִהְיוֹת בְּשִׂמְחָה תָּמִיד".
"This world is nothing — this world is nothing…"
## Segment 3
מַה זֶּה שִׂמְחָה? שִׂמְחָה בַּשֵּׁם! אֵין בָּעוֹלָם שִׂמְחָה - רַק הַתּוֹרָה הַקְּדוֹשָׁה וְהַמִּצְווֹת! יֵשׁ לָנוּ תּוֹרָה וּמִצְווֹת - זֶה עִקַּר הַחַיִּים, זֶה שִׂמְחָה. בְּלֹא זֶה אֵין חַיִּים, אֵין שִׂמְחָה, אֵין כְּלוּם.
Now is the time of the redemption. Our holy Rabbenu came into the world and revealed to us that we are distant from Hashem — and we must seek ways to serve Hashem.
## Segment 4
הַשִּׂמְחָה הִיא עִקַּר חַיּוּת הָאָדָם, הַשִּׂמְחָה! לִשְׂמֹחַ, מַה יֵּשׁ לִשְׂמֹחַ? עִם הַתּוֹרָה! הַתּוֹרָה זֶה עִקַּר הַחַיִּים, זֶה עִקַּר הַטּוֹב, עִקַּר הָאוֹר, עִקַּר הַשִּׂמְחָה. בְּלִי הַתּוֹרָה אֵין חַיִּים. אוֹי הַתּוֹרָה שֶׁל עַם הַיְּהוּדִי, אוֹי הַתּוֹרָה הַקְּדוֹשָׁה...
Our holy Rabbenu teaches us and reminds us that this world is nothing. The essential is the World to Come, the essential is to serve Hashem. If not — one is sleeping. One need not sleep much and need not eat much — only with sense, with wisdom. Only speak what one has ready to hand. One must remind oneself that this world is nothing — and remember that the essential is to serve Hashem, to study Torah and fulfill it. That is it!
## Segment 5
נִסִּים, נִסִּים וְנִפְלָאוֹת שֶׁהַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ עוֹשֶׂה אִתָּנוּ וְהֵאִיר בָּנוּ אוֹר הַשֵּׁם, אוֹר הָאֱמֶת, אוֹר הָאֱמוּנָה. הַתּוֹרָה וּמִצְווֹת זֶה כָּל הַחַיִּים שֶׁלָּנוּ, וּבָרוּךְ הַשֵּׁם זֶה יֵשׁ לָנוּ בְּחִנָּם כַּמָּה שֶׁרוֹצִים. אַשְׁרֵינוּ, זֶה כָּל שִׂמְחָתֵנוּ, זֶה כָּל חַיֵּינוּ - הַתּוֹרָה וְהַמִּצְווֹת. אֲנַחְנוּ יְהוּדִים, עַם הַתּוֹרָה וְהַמִּצְווֹת, אֵין עוֹד חַיִּים מִלְּבַד זֶה. לְהַאֲמִין בַּשֵּׁם וּבַתּוֹרָה וּבַמִּצְווֹת, אִם לֹא זֶה - אֵין חַיִּים כְּלָל, אֵין עוֹלָם, אֵין אֹכֶל, אֵין כְּלוּם. אֲנַחְנוּ עַם אֶחָד בָּעוֹלָם!
Now there is already our holy Rabbenu in the world — he has come to draw us close to the service of Hashem: not for money, not for honor, not for fame. Not to be a scholar and seek money and honor — no. This is mistaken! Until now people did not know. Until now there were only great rabbis, pride — this is nothing. As long as our holy Rabbenu was not in the world, people did not know of this. Now that there is already the Likutay Moharan and Likutay Tfilos and more and more — we must not sleep and must seek ways of how to serve Hashem. Because without the service of Hashem, without prayer, without emunah, these are not human beings.
## Segment 6
הַתּוֹרָה הִיא חַיֵּינו, הִיא עִקָּר הַחִיּוּת שֶׁלָּנוּ, "כִּי הִיא חַיֶּיךָ וְאֹרֶךְ יָמֶיךָ". אֲנַחְנוּ יֵשׁ לָנוּ עַל כָּל רֶגַע עַל כָּל חַיֵּינוּ תּוֹרָה וּמִצְווֹת כָּאֵלּוּ.. אֲהָהּ! שַׁבָּת, פֶּסַח, חַגִּים, מַצּוֹת, סֻכּוֹת, תְּפִלִּין, צִיצִית, מַה שֶּׁיֵּשׁ לָנוּ, בְּכָל חַיֵּינוּ בְּכָל רֶגַע מִצְוָה, מִצְוָה, מִצְוָה...
All of this is nothing — money is nothing, eating is nothing, sleeping is nothing, desires are nothing, everything is nothing. Only the essential is to serve Hashem. To occupy oneself with Torah and prayer — this is called life. But without this — the person, the world has nothing, has no life. There are people but they have no life — no life-force from the Torah. The essential of life is Torah: "For it is your life and the length of your days." Without the Torah there are no days, no life, nothing. They sleep all the years and days — sleeping. He sleeps another night and another day and another night — and does not know and entirely forgets the essential: to serve Hashem and the World to Come. For what is life, for what is sleep, for what is eating? For emunah — so that we have life-force. To remember that there is a World to Come. This world is nothing! Here he is now — then he is there…

הַשֵּׁם בָּרָא אֶת הָעוֹלָם, אֲנַחְנוּ לֹא כְּלוּם. הַשֵּׁם נָתַן לָנוּ בַּיִת וְכָל מַה שֶּׁאֲנַחְנוּ צְרִיכִים. בִּשְׁבִיל מָה הַבָּתִּים, בִּשְׁבִיל מָה הַכֶּסֶף? הַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ נָתַן לָנוּ מַתָּנוֹת טוֹבוֹת, חֲדָרִים לַעֲבֹד הַשֵּׁם, לִלְמֹד וּלְקַיֵּם הַתּוֹרָה וְהַמִּצְווֹת. אֲנַחְנוּ עַם אֶחָד בָּעוֹלָם, עַם קָדוֹשׁ וְאֶרֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵל הִיא אֶרֶץ אַחַת בְּכָל הָעוֹלָם, אֶרֶץ הַקֹּדֶשׁ, אֶרֶץ הַיַּהֲדוּת, בֵּית-הַמִּקְדָּשׁ. הַגּוֹיִים - מַה יֵּשׁ לָהֶם? אֵין לָהֶם חַיִּים כְּלָל!
Oy vey, oy vey — what is the eating and sleeping and desires? What is this — is this life, is this called life? This is sleep — this is nothing. He has no life-force, no existence. If one does not serve Hashem, if there is no emunah and Torah and prayer — what do we have? Nothing. Every moment that passes without Torah, without prayer — this is nothing, worth nothing.
## Segment 8
אֲנַחְנוּ יְכוֹלִים לְהִתְגַּדֵּל עַל כָּל הַגּוֹיִים, עַל כָּל הָעוֹלָם. אֲנַחְנוּ זָכִינוּ לְקַבֵּל הַמִּצְווֹת, הַשַּׁבָּת, הַחַגִּים, הַתּוֹרָה, מַה שֶּׁאֵין בָּעוֹלָם טוֹב כָּזֶה כְּמוֹ הַתּוֹרָה. כָּל מִצְוָה הִיא רְכוּשׁ שֶׁאֵין בָּעוֹלָם, כָּל מִצְוָה. יֵשׁ עֲשִׁירוּת יוֹתֵר גָּדוֹל מִזֶּה?! אֲנַחְנוּ עֲשִׁירִים יוֹתֵר מִכָּל הַגּוֹיִים, יוֹתֵר מִכָּל הָעוֹלָם. מִצְוָה אַחַת שָׁוָה יוֹתֵר מִכָּל הָעוֹלָם. מַה יֵּשׁ לָהֶם?
This world is nothing. What — more bread, more money, more desires? They seek only money and honor — for this was the world created? For this do we live? What is there in this? This is not life. Death is better than such a life!
## Segment 9
הַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ אוֹהֵב אוֹתָנוּ, הוּא נוֹתֵן לָנוּ מַתָּנוֹת כָּאֵלֶּה שֶׁשָּׁוִים כָּל הָעוֹלָם, אֲנַחְנוּ הַיְּהוּדִים מְצַחֲקִים מִכָּל הָעוֹלָם, שׁוּם גּוֹי אֵין לָהֶם כְּלוּם, אֵין לָהֶם חַיִּים כְּלוּם, וַאֲנַחְנוּ בָּרוּךְ הַשֵּׁם יֵשׁ לָנוּ מִצְוָה עַל כָּל רֶגַע, רַק "מִצְוָה גְּדוֹלָה לִהְיוֹת בְּשִׂמְחָה תָּמִיד", מַהִי הַשִּׂמְחָה? שֶׁלֹּא עָשַׂנִי גּוֹי. כֵּן, יְכוֹלִים לִהְיוֹת בְּשִׂמְחָה תָּמִיד, שֶׁלֹּא עָשַׂנִי גּוֹי - זֶה שִׂמְחָה תָּמִיד. יֵשׁ חַיִּים יוֹתֵר טוֹב מִזֶּה, "שֶׁלֹּא עָשַׂנִי גּוֹי", "שֶׁנָּתַן לָנוּ אֶת תּוֹרָתוֹ". יִהְיֶה שִׂמְחָה לְמַעְלָה מִשִּׂכְלֵנוּ, יִהְיֶה שִׂמְחָה כָּזֶה...
The world speaks and speaks and speaks. This one wants honor, this one is proud, this one wants something else — they want only this world. But our holy Rabbenu came and said: "This world is nothing — the essential is only the World to Come, to seek Hashem, the Torah and prayer and emunah and truth!"
## Segment 10
נוּ, תִּתְחַזֵּק, תִּתְחַזֵּק תָּמִיד בְּשִׂמְחָה, "מִצְוָה גְּדוֹלָה לִהְיוֹת בְּשִׂמְחָה תָּמִיד!"
One must engage in the service of Hashem: to rise early in the morning, at midnight — to seek ways of how to serve Hashem. Without this — nothing is worth anything: not Torah, not prayer. The essential is the true tzadik who brought down life-force for us. Life-force is prayer — so said Rabbenu: "Prayer to G-d — life!"
## Segment 11
אַשְׁרֵינוּ שֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ יְהוּדִים, שֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ מַאֲמִינִים בַּתּוֹרָה וּבַצַּדִּיקִים. אַשְׁרֵינוּ, אַשְׁרֵינוּ מַה טּוֹב חֶלְקֵנוּ וּמַה נָּעִים גּוֹרָלֵנוּ, הַשֵּׁם בָּרָא אוֹתָנוּ וְנָתַן לָנוּ לְעַם יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת הַתּוֹרָה, אֲהָהּ!
We say "prayer to G-d — life." But our holy Rabbenu reveals to us that the essential is to serve Hashem. And if not — nothing. He sleeps, does nothing…
## Segment 12
מִי יָכוֹל לְדַבֵּר וּלְסַפֵּר גְּבוּרָה כָּזוֹ, כָּל הָעוֹלָם לֹא רָצוּ לְקַבֵּל אֶת הַתּוֹרָה, לֹא הָיָה - רַק עַם אֶחָד בָּעוֹלָם, רַק עַם קָדוֹשׁ, רַק עַם יִשְׂרָאֵל, הֵם זָכוּ לְקַבֵּל הַתּוֹרָה. אֲנַחְנוּ עַם יְהוּדִי, עַם הַשֵּׁם, עַם קָדוֹשׁ, עַם הַתּוֹרָה, אֲנַחְנוּ גִּבּוֹרִים כָּאֵלֶּה.. שֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ יְכוֹלִים לְקַבֵּל אֶת הַתּוֹרָה!
The world tells a story: someone had no livelihood. So he traveled to seek something to earn a living. In any case he went to seek livelihood — and he dreamed that there is a Jew named such-and-such, and in his house there is a treasure worth millions. And that same man who dreamed the dream was seeking livelihood — but he did not know: the livelihood is with him.
## Segment 13
כָּל הָעַמִּים, כָּל הָעוֹלָם אֵינָם יְכוֹלִים לְקַבֵּל הַתּוֹרָה, שׁוּם עַם לֹא רָצָה לְקַבֵּל אֶת הַתּוֹרָה, מִכָּל הָעַמִּים - רַק אֲנַחְנוּ יְכוֹלִים לְקַבֵּל אֶת הַתּוֹרָה, רַק עַם יִשְׂרָאֵל, רַק עַם הַגִּבּוֹרִים. עִקַּר הַגְּבוּרָה הוּא הַשֶּׁכֶל, הַחָכְמָה. עִקַּר הַחַיִּים זֶה הַחָכְמָה, "הַחָכְמָה תְּחַיֶּה אֶת בְּעָלֶיהָ".
So too in the matter of the service of Hashem: if we do not study Rabbenu's words — we do not know. He is in the world and one does not know. There is a treasure in the house. Only we ruin it through our deeds — through the desires and bad things. We ruin it.
## Segment 14
הַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ נָתַן לָנוּ אֶת הַתּוֹרָה לָדַעַת אֵיךְ לִחְיוֹת וּמַה יֵּשׁ לָנוּ לַעֲשׂוֹת בְּזֶה הָעוֹלָם. הַתּוֹרָה מְלַמֶּדֶת אוֹתָנוּ, יֵשׁ דְּבָרִים שֶׁצְּרִיכִים לָדַעַת, מָה אָסוּר וּמַה מֻּתָּר, אֵיךְ לִחְיוֹת, מַה לֶּאֱכֹל. לֹא כְּמוֹ הַגּוֹיִים, אֵין לָהֶם כְּלוּם, לֹא תּוֹרָה וְלֹא מִצְווֹת וְלֹא חַיִּים וְלֹא כְּלוּם. הַגּוֹי הוּא כָּל הַיּוֹם לֹא לוֹמֵד וְאֵין לוֹ זְמַן, הוּא צָרִיךְ לַעֲבֹד וְלֶאֱכֹל. הוּא אוֹכֵל תֶּבֶן וְטוֹב לוֹ, אֵין לוֹ שׁוּם דְּאָגָה שׁוּם עֲבוֹדָה, הוּא תָּמִיד רַק עוֹמֵד וְאוֹכֵל וְשׁוֹתֶה וּמוֹצִיא, לֹא יוֹתֵר. זֶהוּ, חֲמוֹר, זֶה הָעֲבוֹדָה שֶׁלּוֹ. וְזֶה כָּל הָעוֹלָם, כָּל הַגּוֹיִים לֹא יוֹדְעִים כְּלוּם, רַק לָתֵת לוֹ לֶאֱכֹל וְלִשְׁתּוֹת בַּיּוֹם וּבַלַּיְלָה, זֶהוּ הַכֹּל. בִּשְׁבִיל מָה הוּא אוֹכֵל, בִּשְׁבִיל מָה הוּא חָי, בִּשְׁבִיל מָה בָּא לָעוֹלָם? הוּא לֹא יוֹדֵעַ כְּלוּם. בְּלִי תּוֹרָה אֵין לוֹ שׁוּם חִיּוּת, לֹא יוֹדֵעַ כְּלוּם. כָּכָה הַחַיִּים שֶׁל הַגּוֹיִים.
Oy — great pity. We have a certain amount of time to live. Every moment counted — and if we do not pay attention, if we do not do what we must, then the time is very short. But we have such a Rebbi who reveals to us, who illuminates in us and brings wisdom and intelligence how and what we need to do in this world. Rabbenu says in Torah 62: "Through the eating of Israel a union is made between the Holy One blessed be He and His Shechina — face to face." I remember studying this Torah and longing for the World to Come entered me…
## Segment 15
אֲנַחְנוּ בָּרוּךְ הַשֵּׁם בְּכָל יוֹם וָיוֹם מְבָרְכִים אֶת הַשֵּׁם וְאוֹמְרִים לוֹ: "בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה הַשֵּׁם אֱלֹקֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם שֶׁלֹּא עָשַׂנִי גּוֹי", שֶׁלֹּא עָשַׂנִי חֲמוֹר. מַה זֶּה גּוֹי? חֲמוֹר! אִם הָיִינוּ גּוֹי לֹא הָיָה לָנוּ שׁוּם חִיּוּת, שׁוּם דָּבָר, הוּא כְּמוֹ חֲמוֹר.
"Face to face" — this is a great level. Not back to back — face to face. I had such longing for this: face to face. "Ho — I want face to face!" What this is, what this is — what one can merit in this world… We were created for this — so that there be union of the Holy One blessed be He face to face. Oy — how far we are from this.
## Segment 16
יֵשׁ דָּבָר יוֹתֵר טוֹב מֵהַתּוֹרָה וְהַמִּצְווֹת? בָּרוּךְ הַשֵּׁם אֲנַחְנוּ יְהוּדִים עַם הַתּוֹרָה, אֲנַחְנוּ בְּנֵי-אָדָם, אֲבָל כָּל הַגּוֹיִים - חֲמוֹרִים! אֵין לָהֶם שׁוּם דָּבָר, שׁוּם תּוֹרָה, שׁוּם מִצְווֹת, רַק חֲמוֹרִים...
Our holy Rabbenu speaks briefly and also with wisdom — to pay attention and understand what he says, what he teaches us. He teaches us everything: how to live, how to eat, how to sleep. Happy are we to have such a Rebbi…
## Segment 17
אֲנַחְנוּ יֵשׁ לָנוּ הַתּוֹרָה, זֶה עִקַּר הַחַיִּים, עִקַּר הַשִּׂמְחָה. אֲנַחְנוּ צְרִיכִים לְהִתְגַּבֵּר בְּכָל הַכֹּחוֹת לִשְׁמֹר הַתּוֹרָה וְהַמִּצְווֹת וּלְהַאֲמִין בַּשֵּׁם וּבַתּוֹרָה.
Our holy Rabbenu says that we should not be like a camel and a mouse. A camel is very large and strong — a mouse is small and weak. We should not be like a camel that the mouse comes and takes the rope and leads the camel where the mouse wants — and the camel follows it. So too we — we are mighty and strong. We have our holy Rabbenu. We must be very careful to accept upon ourselves the wisdom and knowledge of our holy Rabbenu — for this is all our life-force in this world and the World to Come. All our life-force and hope — everything, only this.
## Segment 18
אֲנַחְנוּ תָּמִיד מְדַבְּרִים עִם הַשֵּׁם, אַתָּה רוֹצֶה לֶאֱכֹל? לֹא, אָסוּר לֶאֱכֹל, חַכֵּה קְצָת, לֹא כְּמוֹ הַגּוֹי. קֹדֶם צְרִיכִים מַיִם, נְטִילַת יָדַיִם.
One must always speak of this: how one merits to emerge from the desires, to break the desires. Yes — all manner of counsel how and what to do. We know that the essential is prayer. One can even pray in the room. Or one can go to the Western Wall and the graves of tzadikim — here in Yerushalayim and in Tzfas. Yes — prayer, prayer, prayer with emunah! If not — G-d forbid one falls, one falls. Yes.
## Segment 19
נוּ, אֶפְשָׁר כְּבָר לֶאֱכֹל? לֹא, עוֹד לֹא, קֹדֶם צְרִיכִים לְדַבֵּר עִם הַשֵּׁם, צְרִיכִים לְבָרֵךְ: "בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה הַשֵּׁם אֱלֹקֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם הַמּוֹצִיא לֶחֶם מִן הָאָרֶץ", אִי אֶפְשָׁר לֶאֱכֹל בְּלִי זֶה. אִם אוֹכְלִים עִם בְּרָכָה וּנְטִילַת יָדַיִם כְּמוֹ שֶׁהַתּוֹרָה מְלַמֶּדֶת אוֹתָנוּ - טוֹב, וְאִם לֹא - יֵלֵךְ, יֵלֵךְ!
Great danger without the true leader. Without the tzadik we have no strength to conquer this war. And our holy Rabbenu is the purifier of everything: "I am a river that purifies from all stains." He purifies us, renews and purifies and repairs us. All of this is for us — to purify us from the desires. The tzadik revealed to us through his holy words how to purify and cleanse ourselves from the desires — only to serve Hashem. For this the world was created, for this all of creation, all of creation — so that Israel receive the Torah.

אֲנַחְנוּ עוֹשִׂים בְּרָכָה - זֶה אֱלֹקוּת, עוֹשִׂים בְּרָכָה שֶׁהוּא בָּרָא אֶת הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה. הַגּוֹיִים לֹא יוֹדְעִים מַה זֶּה, אֲבָל אֲנַחְנוּ מְדַבְּרִים תָּמִיד עִם הַשֵּׁם, כְּשֶׁאוֹכְלִים - מְדַבְּרִים עִם הַשֵּׁם, "בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה הַשֵּׁם" שֶׁנָּתַתָּ לָנוּ עֲנָבִים, שֶׁנָּתַתָּ לָנוּ מַתָּנוֹת כָּאֵלֶּה, לְדַבֵּר עִם הַשֵּׁם תָּמִיד. הַשֵּׁם נָתַן לָנוּ עֲנָבִים וְכָל הַפֵּרוֹת, בִּשְׁבִיל מָה? בִּשְׁבִיל לֶאֱכֹל שֶׁיִּהְיֶה לָנוּ כֹּחַ לַעֲבֹד הַשֵּׁם. וְגַם-כֵּן יֵשׁ בְּרָכָה אַחֲרוֹנָה, יֵשׁ לָנוּ תָּמִיד מַה לְּדַבֵּר עִם הַשֵּׁם, תָּמִיד. הַשֵּׁם פֹּה מְדַבֵּר אִתָּנוּ וְשׁוֹמֵעַ אוֹתָנוּ. הַשֵּׁם נָתַן לָנוּ הַתּוֹרָה, נָתַן לָנוּ זֶה, נָתַן לָנוּ זֶה. הוּא נוֹתֵן לָנוּ וְנָתַן לָנוּ וְאוֹהֵב אוֹתָנוּ שֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ בָּרוּךְ הַשֵּׁם בְּנֵי-אָדָם, לֹא חֲמוֹרִים...
We must study and fulfill everything he reveals to us. Everything we study in his holy books — fulfill it, with mesirus nefesh, fulfill it immediately. Yes. If we are only sitting to speak? One must receive and fulfill. And if it is difficult? Let it be difficult! "And you shall love Hashem your G-d with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might!"
## Segment 21
בָּרוּךְ הַשֵּׁם יֵשׁ לָנוּ בַּמֶּה לִשְׂמֹחַ, בַּמֶּה לִחְיוֹת, תּוֹרָה קְדֻשָּׁה כָּזֶה וְכָל מִצְווֹת הַשֵּׁם, זֶה חַיִּים אֲמִתִּיִּים, נִצְחִיִּים!

## Segment 22
אֲהָהּ! הַחַיִּים שֶׁלָּנוּ, יֵשׁ לָנוּ תּוֹרָה וּמִצְווֹת עַל כָּל רֶגַע, עַל כָּל חַיִּים שֶׁלָּנוּ. תָּמִיד אֲנַחְנוּ מְדַבְּרִים עִם הַשֵּׁם, מִתְעוֹרְרִים מִן הַשֵּׁנָה, פּוֹתְחִים עֵינַיִם - תֵּכֶף מְדַבְּרִים עִם הַשֵּׁם: "מוֹדֶה אֲנִי לְפָנֶיךָ מֶלֶךְ חַי וְקַיָּם שֶׁהֶחֱזַרְתָּ בִּי נִשְׁמָתִי בְּחֶמְלָה רַבָּה אֱמוּנָתֶךָ".

## Segment 23
נוּ, אֲנַחְנוּ תָּמִיד מוּכָנִים לְדַבֵּר עִם הַשֵּׁם, תָּמִיד, "בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה הַשֵּׁם שֶׁהֶחֱיָנוּ וְקִיְּמָנוּ וְהִגִּיעָנוּ לַזְּמַן הַזֶּה", שֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ אוֹכְלִים מַצּוֹת, שֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ אוֹכְלִים בְּסֻכּוֹת. מִתְפַּלְּלִים תָּמִיד וּמְדַבְּרִים עִם הַשֵּׁם, תָּמִיד אֲנַחְנוּ מְחֻבָּרִים מְקֻשָּׁרִים בְּהַשֹּׁרֶשׁ - בְּהַבּוֹרֵא יִתְבָּרַךְ, שֶׁהוּא בָּחַר בָּנוּ, הוּא בָּרָא אוֹתָנוּ. יֵשׁ לָנוּ טֶלֶפוֹן בְּחִנָּם לְטַלְפֵּן לַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ וְתָמִיד אֲנַחְנוּ אֵין לָנוּ שׁוּם עֲבוֹדָה, רַק לִלְמֹד הַתּוֹרָה וּלְקַיֵּם הַתּוֹרָה.
One gives before Hashem everything — all the strengths, all the body, everything. Everything to Hashem.

כָּל מִצְוָה וְכָל דִּבּוּר זֶה עוֹמֵד וְקַיָּם לָנֶצַח!

כְּמוֹ שֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ מְדַבְּרִים כָּאן וְשׁוֹמְעִים בַּאַמֶרִיקָה, כָּכָה אֲנַחְנוּ מְדַבְּרִים עִם הַשֵּׁם, מְדַבְּרִים מִפֹּה וְשׁוֹמְעִים מִן הַשָּׁמַיִם כָּל דִּבּוּר וְכָל מַחֲשָׁבָה. יֵשׁ לָנוּ טֶלֶפוֹן - תּוֹרָה וּמִצְווֹת, צְרִיכִים טֶלֶפוֹן לָדַעַת אֵיךְ לְהָנִיחַ תְּפִלִּין, אֵיךְ לַעֲשׂוֹת צִיצִית, אֵיךְ לִשְׁמֹר הַשַּׁבָּת, מְלַמְּדִים אוֹתָנוּ עַל כָּל רֶגַע אֵיזֶה עֲבוֹדָה יֵשׁ לָנוּ בָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה, אֵיךְ לְקַיֵּם הַמִּצְווֹת. אֲנַחְנוּ צְרִיכִים רַק לְדַבֵּר: "בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה הַשֵּׁם.." אֲנַחְנוּ מְקֻשָּׁרִים בְּהַשָּׁמַיִם לְהַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ, לַתּוֹרָה וְלַמִּצְווֹת. תָּמִיד מְדַבְּרִים אִתּוֹ, בַּיּוֹם וּבַלַּיְלָה, תָּמִיד מְדַבְּרִים אִתּוֹ בְּחִנָּם. טֶלֶפוֹן, טֶלֶפוֹן, טֶלֶפוֹן...
Emunah — emunah in Hashem! Rejoice in Hashem. There are now wonders that have not yet been revealed in the world. We deserve to be such holy tzadikim as have never yet been in the world — we have such wonders! Oy vey, oy vey — how can one lie down when there are already in the world such wondrous lights as have not been since the day of creation? Never yet revealed — only our holy Rabbenu revealed a drop from the sea. Now our holy Rabbenu is already in the world — there is already in the world a very wondrous matter. All the money and all the desires and all the pride are worth nothing. Now the redemption is already here. There is the Likutay Moharan and Likutay Tfilos, Likutay Halachos and more. Ho — what we have! One must strengthen oneself, study his words and fulfill what he teaches us, what he reveals to us. We must toil and labor and bring it into memory: that this world is nothing — the essential is the World to Come.

אֲנַחְנוּ תָּמִיד עוֹסְקִים לְדַבֵּר עִם הַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ בְּתוֹרָה וּמִצְווֹת, כְּשֶׁאוֹמְרִים תּוֹרָה - כָּל תֵּיבָה, כָּל דִּבּוּר, כָּל אוֹת, הוּא חַיִּים כָּזֶה וְשִׂמְחָה כָּזֶה שֶׁאֵין בָּעוֹלָם. יֵשׁ בַּבַּיִת אָרוֹן עִם סְפָרִים, לִמּוּדִים אֵיךְ לְדַבֵּר עִם הַשֵּׁם, אֵיךְ שֶׁנַּאֲמִין. מְדַבְּרִים אִתּוֹ בַּפֶּה כְּמוֹ עִם חָבֵר, אֲנַחְנוּ מְדַבְּרִים אִתּוֹ וּשְׂמֵחִים עִמּוֹ שֶׁהוּא בָּרָא אוֹתָנוּ וְנָתַן לָנוּ אֶת הַתּוֹרָה, "בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה הַשֵּׁם שֶׁלֹּא עָשַׂנִי גּוֹי, בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה הַשֵּׁם אֱלֹקֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם אֲשֶׁר בָּחַר בָּנוּ מִכָּל הָעַמִּים וְנָתַן לָנוּ אֶת תּוֹרָתוֹ. בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה הַשֵּׁם נוֹתֵן הַתּוֹרָה", לְמִי? לְעַם יִשְׂרָאֵל, עַם הַיְּהוּדִי. זֶה מַתָּנָה טוֹבָה מַה שֶּׁאֵין בָּעוֹלָם! הַגּוֹיִים אֵין לָהֶם תּוֹרָה, אֵין לָהֶם מִצְוָה, אֵין לָהֶם כְּלוּם. רַק אֲנַחְנוּ - עַם יִשְׂרָאֵל, עַם הַתּוֹרָה!
Oy — the world says: "What — this world is nothing?" Yes — one must remember and not sleep. Eat a little only so that I have strength to speak with Hashem, to speak Torah and prayer. When one eats — one must make a blessing. And so on and on — the Torah teaches us how to be Jews, not gentiles. The gentiles do not believe in the Torah and have no Torah — they have nothing.
## Segment 27
הוֹ.. כַּמָּה דְּבָרִים שֶׁהַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ עָשָׂה אִתִּי חֲסָדִים טוֹבִים, נוֹלַדְתִּי בְּבַיִת יְהוּדִי שֶׁל תּוֹרָה וּמִצְווֹת. הַיֶּלֶד הוּא רַק נוֹלַד - תֵּכֶף נוֹטְלִים לוֹ יָדַיִם. הוּא יְהוּדִי, הַשֵּׁם הוּא אָמַר לִטֹּל יָדַיִם, "בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה הַשֵּׁם אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָׁנוּ בְּמִצְווֹתָיו וְצִוָּנוּ עַל נְטִילַת יָדַיִם".
Whoever entirely abandons the Torah and prayer has no life at all. The world passes — one sleeps all the years, all the life — and does not know what life is, what Torah is. One needs counsel and one needs our holy Rabbenu. He reveals to us all manner of wisdoms and all manner of true counsels how to serve Hashem, how to live. Our holy Rabbenu is already in the world. Ho — when there are already Likutay Tfilos, Likutay Moharan, Likutay Halachos! Nu — we must always day and night serve Hashem. To know how to live — what we need to do in this world.
## Segment 28
תָּמִיד מְדַבְּרִים עִם הַשֵּׁם, זֶה כָּל חִיּוּתֵנוּ!
Ahh! The melody "This world is nothing" — it is a very beautiful melody. For what is life, for what? For desires, for sleep? No — only to bring the light of Hashem into our hearts, how to serve Hashem in Torah and prayer. To study Torah and ask: "Master of the Universe — have mercy on me. I studied such-and-such — grant me to fulfill what I studied." This is the essential — to fulfill!

"בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה הַשֵּׁם אֱלֹקֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם שֶׁעָשָׂה לִי כָּל צָרְכִּי", "בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה הַשֵּׁם אֱלֹקֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם אוֹזֵר יִשְׂרָאֵל בִּגְבוּרָה", מַה זֶּה גְּבוּרָה? הַתּוֹרָה זֶה גְּבוּרָה, צָרִיךְ לִהְיוֹת גִּבּוֹר לְקַיֵּם הַתּוֹרָה וְהַמִּצְווֹת. "יְמֵי חַיֵּינוּ שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה, וְאִם בִּגְבוּרוֹת שְׁמוֹנִים שָׁנָה", אֲנִי בָּרוּךְ הַשֵּׁם לְמַעְלָה מִמֵּאָה, בָּרוּךְ הַשֵּׁם אֲנִי חָי בְּשִׂמְחָה גְּדוֹלָה, "מִצְוָה גְּדוֹלָה לִהְיוֹת בְּשִׂמְחָה תָּמִיד", יֵשׁ לָנוּ עֲבוֹדָה תָּמִיד בְּכָל רֶגַע...
"Master of the Universe — grant us to gain wisdom, to hear, to study and teach, to guard and do and fulfill all the words of Your Torah with love." We live only to study Torah and to ask Hashem in prayer to fulfill the Torah — to fulfill what we study. But not to study Torah for ourselves — only for honor and name and money.

## Segment 31
כֵּן, תָּמִיד זֶה גַּם בְּתִשְׁעָה בְּאָב, יֵשׁ לָנוּ רַבִּי כָּזֶה.. יִהְיֶה שָׂמֵחַ כָּל-כָּךְ כְּשֶׁתִּהְיֶה הַגְּאֻלָּה הָאֲמִתִּית, הוֹ.. יִהְיֶה שִׂמְחָה גְּדוֹלָה בְּכָל הָעוֹלָם. רַק הַגּוֹיִים לֹא יֵדְעוּ מַה זֶּה שִׂמְחָה.
There is no time for honor — no time for desires, no time. The essential is only to study Torah and fulfill it! For this the world was created — for this we live!

בָּרוּךְ הַשֵּׁם אֲנַחְנוּ יְהוּדִים, עַם הַתּוֹרָה וְהַמִּצְווֹת. בְּקָרוֹב יָבוֹא מָשִׁיחַ וְיִהְיֶה נַעֲשֶׂה עוֹלָם חָדָשׁ. כֻּלָּם, כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל, כָּל הַיְּהוּדִים יִרְצוּ רַק לַעֲבֹד הַשֵּׁם, לִלְמֹד תּוֹרָה וְלִשְׁמֹר הַתּוֹרָה וְהַמִּצְווֹת...
One must not sleep and not think of anything at all — not money, not honor, not… Only the essential: to study Torah and fulfill the Torah. For this the world was created and for this we are Jews — receivers of the Torah.
## Segment 33
רַבִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְהַחֲסִידִים בִּנְסִיעָה מִצִּיּוּנוֹ שֶׁל הַתַּנָּא הַקָּדוֹשׁ רַבִּי מֵאִיר בַּעַל-הַנֵּס שֶׁבִּטְבֶרְיָה, הַמָקוֹם בּוֹ נִמְצָא הַפֶּתֶק הַקָדוֹשׁ, לַכֹּתֶל הַמַעֲרָבִי שֶׁבִּירוּשָׁלַיִם...
The whole world does not want to receive the Torah — only we, the Jews. But who are the Jews? Not those who want honor and money and to be famous in the world with great noise. This is not called life — no.
## Segment 34
אַחֲרֵי הַכֹּל, שֶׁכֻּלָּם רָדְפוּ אוֹתִי וְסָבַלְתִּי מַה שֶּׁסָּבַלְתִּי, בִּזְיוֹנוֹת כָּאֵלֶּה וְשִׁפְלוּת כָּזֶה, מַמָּשׁ נִסִּים אֵיךְ הָיִיתִי מַחֲזִיק מַעֲמָד. וּמִצַּד הַשֵּׁנִי כָּל הָעִיר חָשְׁבוּ שֶׁיִּשְׂרָאֵל בֶּער הוּא עִנְיַן פֶּלֶא, כֵּן.
One must speak much and fulfill it. Likutay Halachos, Likutay Aytzos — one must awaken and bring true life into the heart. To pass our days and time only in Torah and prayer. Torah — to study Torah. And prayer — to fulfill the Torah. This is our life! If not — there is no life at all…
