הוּא, רַבִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל קָרְדוֹנֶר, הָיָה בְּמִירוֹן, אָז הָאַבָּא שֶׁלּוֹ בָּא לְרַבִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָמַר לוֹ בְּזֶה הַלָּשׁוֹן: "אֲנִי הִתְחַתַּנְתִּי וְיֵשׁ לִי כְּבָר שֵׁשׁ שָׁנִים וְאֵין לִי בָּנִים".
Master of the Universe — have mercy on us and on all Your people Israel. Arrange for our sons and daughters their fitting partners from Heaven. May the matches not be exchanged, G-d forbid, on account of our sins. Rather, may each one merit to find his fitting partner from Heaven (and in particular for [insert name]). Guide us always in the way of truth, that we merit to make good and proper matches in truth according to Your good will — as it is written: "And a wise wife is from Hashem."

הֵם הָיוּ מִתְנַגְּדִים גְּדוֹלִים, הַסַּבָּא וְהַמִּשְׁפָּחָה, אֲבָל הַהוֹרִים לֹא שָׁמְעוּ, הֵם הָלְכוּ לְרַבִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְסִפְּרוּ לוֹ שֶׁהֵם כְּבָר שֵׁשׁ שָׁנִים אַחֲרֵי הַחֲתוּנָה וְאֵין לָהֶם בָּנִים. אָז אָמַר לוֹ רַבִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל: "תִּתֵּן לִי שֵׁשׁ לִירוֹת זָהָב!" שֵׁשׁ לִירוֹת זָהָב הָיָה יָקָר מְאֹד...
Singular Master — full of mercy, who looks and beholds until the end of all generations, who leads His world with kindness and His creatures with compassion. Have pity and compassion and mercy on the years of youth of the young men of Your people the House of Israel. Make known to us Your ways — how we may merit to find the true partner of each one who depends on us. Grant us and help us: through the power and merit of the great and true tzadikim, who are the holy knowledge of all the worlds — who drew down and revealed a great and wondrous knowledge truly also in this world — through their power and merit: may we merit quickly to find the soul-mate of each and every one of Your people the House of Israel. May we merit to bring them speedily to their good fortune, to long and good life and peace. May it be according to his will — and may she not be opposed to him at all, G-d forbid. Rather, may they dwell in love and peace, in holiness and purity, according to Your will in truth. And may all Your people the House of Israel merit to guard the holy covenant with great holiness in truth — for all of the entire Torah depends on this. It is the essential trial and choice of every person in this world, as You have revealed to us through Your holy sages. May each and every one merit to have from his wife sons and daughters, generation after generation, forever. And may they all be alive and enduring in Your service and fear, for long years and good years. May they know and recognize You and the greatness of Your true tzadikim whom You chose. May the holy knowledge that all the tzadikim left in this world be revealed to them. Amen, so may it be His will.

רַבִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא דִּבֵּר הַרְבֵּה, הוּא דִּבֵּר בְּקִצּוּר: "אֲנִי צָרִיךְ לָתֵת שֵׁשׁ לִירוֹת לַמַּדְפִיס. תִּתֵּן לִי שֵׁשׁ לִירוֹת - מַסְפִּיק!" רַבִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא אָמַר לָאִישׁ הַזֶּה שֶׁיִּהְיֶה לוֹ בָּנִים.
