      "en": "Hashem has mercy on us even though we are as we are — He has mercy on us. He forgives our sins, the desires. Yom Kippur — He forgives us. G-d forbid were it not so, we would already be lost. Hashem should have mercy on us and purify us. We are not pure — but Hashem is so merciful that He will purify and cleanse us from all manner of defilements, all manner of sins, all manner of desires. He will take us out from all evil."

      "en": "I was born in Eretz Yisroel in Teveriah more than a hundred years ago. I remember now how much fear we had of the gentiles — they wanted to kill, destroy, and annihilate us and our offspring. Until today I wonder greatly how we are all alive."

And they had all manner of weapons — the whole world gave them weapons: the French and the English — all gave them weapons. And we had no one to give to us and no weapons. Oy vey, oy vey — such fear! How we were being lost like animals — they did not know where to flee. What could one do with small children?"

Father and mother and I — none of us had bread to eat or to drink or anything. We were in great trouble — we and our offspring and our family. All of us were entirely lost — for how can such murderers be annulled? And Hashem had mercy on us — we and our offspring were saved!"

      "en": "What we saw — that Hashem does with us and with the gentiles. There was no hope of being saved by natural means from the gentiles. The regime was so strong — mighty warriors — and they had many weapons. And we had nothing. We were small children who did not know how to fight — we were like dead. And they were all lost, and we are alive and enduring! How were we saved from the gentiles? Do small children know how to fight? What is this!"

      "en": "Hashem saved us from all the gentiles. Fear fell upon them and they fell and fell. I do not know how they fell — they fell and were lost. We saw such wonders: miracles and wonders. Hashem performed with us such great wonders — that mothers and small children who had just been born: infants of one month, of two months — were saved from the gentiles. Even now the gentiles — the Arabs — had houses and goats and all manner of animals. They had milk, butter — they had all goodness. And we had nothing. All the houses — all were theirs. And everything that was theirs — we inherited them, we took it. Now everything is ours. They have no goats, no anything. Now we are in their houses and everything that was theirs is ours: the houses are ours, the weapons are ours — everything is ours!"

      "en": "We say in the Mussaf of the three Pilgrimage Festivals: \"Because of our sins we were exiled from our land and distanced from our soil. And we cannot ascend and appear and bow before You…\" We — the Jews — we deserved to kill all our enemies through Torah. But we made prayer and fasting and teshuvah. All of Israel prayed and wept to Hashem: \"Who knows what will be done to us…\" But in the end, finally — we see that we distanced ourselves from the Torah and from holiness greatly. And how were we saved from the gentiles? Hashem has very great mercy on all His people — and He had mercy on us and on our offspring. \"And it was reversed — and it was reversed: that the Jews dominated those who hated them.\" Hashem saved us from the gentiles and gave us the Torah — the Torah of truth. \"Blessed are You Hashem — Giver of the Torah!\""

Eretz Yisroel — a holy land: Yerushalayim, the Beis HaMikdash, the Holy of Holies. Who has this? What do they have? They have nothing!"

      "en": "Blessed be Hashem — we are Jews. That is enough! What do we have to worry about? The gentiles have something to worry about — they have nothing: no Eretz Yisroel, no Torah, no mitzvah — nothing. They will worry. They have no hope at all anymore. But we — we have all goodness. We have all the healings and all the salvations. We are Jews — we have Torah and mitzvos. Is there greater joy than this? We are the people of Hashem, the people of Torah. We have everything — we have nothing to worry about…"

      "en": "The Arabs want Yerushalayim and other places — all of Eretz Yisroel they want. The Arabs from the east side of the Jordan entered Yerushalayim — and all those who lived in the Old City: they led them to the east side of the Jordan. They took all the Jews into captivity — including Rav Shmuel Hurvitz. And the east side of the Jordan was here for twenty years without a single Jew for all those twenty years. And now the entire world and the United Nations — everyone, all the gentiles — gave Israel the land of Eretz Yisroel and the Beis HaMikdash and everything. And the Arabs cannot do anything. When the Arabs speak — they are told: \"This is our land — this is the inheritance of our fathers. This is our state. The Beis HaMikdash — ours. Yerushalayim — ours. Eretz Yisroel — ours. Everything is ours. Nu — what do you want?\""
