Segment 1
HE:
עַל־יְדֵי הַחֲנֻפָּה בָּא לִידֵי נִבּוּל־פֶּה, וְהוּא הַדִּין לְהֵפֶךְ.

EN:
1. Through adulation, one comes into the grip of foul language, and the opposite is also true.

Segment 2
HE:
עַל־יְדֵי חֲנֻפָּה נַעֲשֵׂית אִשְׁתּוֹ אַלְמָנָה וּבָנָיו יְתוֹמִים וְאֵין מְרַחֵם עֲלֵיהֶם.

EN:
2. Through adulation, one's wife becomes a widow, and his children orphans, and no one has compassion on them.

Segment 3
HE:
עַל־יְדֵי חֲנֻפָּה בָּא פַּחַד.

EN:
3. Through adulation comes fright.

Segment 4
HE:
מִי שֶׁהוֹלֵךְ בַּשּׁוּק וְנוֹפֵל, בְּיָדוּעַ שֶׁיֵּשׁ בּוֹ חֲנֻפָּה.

EN:
4. Someone who walks in the marketplace and falls, it is certain that he has adulation in him.

Segment 5
HE:
עַל־יְדֵי חֲנֻפָּה בָּא כְּאֵב־לֵב.

EN:
5. Through adulation comes heartache.

Segment 6
HE:
מִי שֶׁבִּטְחוֹנוֹ עַל אֲחֵרִים, בָּא לִידֵי חֲנֻפָּה.

EN:
6. Someone who relies on others, comes into the grip of adulation.

Segment 7
HE:
מִי שֶׁשּׁוֹמֵר אֶת עַצְמוֹ מֵחֲנֻפָּה, עַל־יְדֵי זֶה בָּא לוֹ יְשׁוּעָה.

EN:
7. One who guards himself from adulation, through this, salvation comes to him.

Segment 8
HE:
מֻתָּר לְהַחֲנִיף לָרְשָׁעִים בָּעוֹלָם־הַזֶּה.

EN:
8. It is permitted to adulate wicked people in this world.

Segment 9
HE:
עַל־יְדֵי חֲנֻפָּה נִתְעוֹרֵר הַדִּין.

EN:
9. Through adulation, judgment is aroused.

Segment 10
HE:
גַּם תְּפִלָּתוֹ אֵינָהּ נִשְׁמַעַת וּמָאוּס בְּעֵינֵי כֹּל.

EN:
10. Also, one's prayer is not heard, and one becomes repulsive in everyones' eyes.

Segment 11
HE:
עַל־יְדֵי חֲנֻפָּה בָּא לִידֵי כְּפִירָה.

EN:
1. Through adulation, one comes into the grip of heresy.
