This reader has a human interface, but every reader page also has static crawlable text. For any book, use /reader-plain/<book>/full.txt to search the complete work, or /reader-plain/<book>/<part>/<section>/index.txt for one section. This is sitewide and works for all reader teachings, not just this page.

To act in faithfulness: one merits this through strengthening oneself in the faith of individual divine Providence — and through knowing and believing that one's livelihood does not derive through the natural course of circumstances, but only through the will of the Creator. Hashem Yisborach can sustain a person with no intermediary causes whatsoever. The reason Hashem provides a person's sustenance through causes is in order to test him — whether he will stand in the trials that arise through his engagement with those circumstances — and to discern whether he can maintain the faith that sustenance depends not on the circumstances but on the will of the Creator.
