Petek Nanach Running Commentary on Likutey Moharan
Know that during the days of the Omer counting, all conversations in the world revolve solely around the sefirah (divine attribute) of that particular day. Every conversation that happens anywhere in the world on a given day of the Omer is, at some level, a reflection and expression of the specific sefirah of that day. The first week = chesed; the second = gevurah; etc. One who is perceptive can listen carefully to the conversations around him during the Omer period and recognize this — by attuning his awareness to the spiritual quality of each day's sefirah, he can hear in ordinary conversations the reflection of that sefirah's qualities playing out. This teaches that the Omer period is not merely a counting exercise but a comprehensive spiritual journey through all the sefirotic qualities, in which the entire world participates — even unconsciously — with every conversation.
