T247 PNC - 'Teiku' Is the Aspect of Lacking Repair
Pettek Nanach Running Commentary on Likutey Moharan
Beginner: Whenever the Talmud cannot resolve a question, it concludes with the word "teiku" — "let it stand." The Zohar (Ra'aya Mehemna, Tzav 27b) reveals a hidden secret: the word "teiku" is really the word "tikkun" (repair) with the straight nun missing. When the straight nun departs from "tikkun," what remains is "teiku" — the unresolved question. And once that straight nun falls and becomes bent (the final nun ן), the very same letters of "tikkun" rearrange into "kinot" — lamentations. So unresolved questions in Torah, the bent posture of mourning, and the longing for repair are all the same letters in different configurations. The redeemer will straighten the nun, and then "kinot" will be turned back into "tikkun," and every "teiku" will be answered. Intermediate: T247: Per Zohar Ra'aya Mehemna Tzav 27b, "teiku" = "tikkun" minus the straight nun. When the nun bends down (final nun), the same letters become "kinot." Mashiach will straighten the nun: kinot → tikkun, and every teiku will be repaired. LM 247.
