"And for all the mighty hand and for all the great awe which Moshe did before the eyes of all Israel." [Devarim 34:12]

The Hand Upon the Throne of Yah; G-d Hides His Face; Amalek Permanently Cut Off

"The mighty hand" — this is: "a hand upon the throne of Yah" [Shemos 17:16]. For in exile — all the lights of all the supernal levels hide their light. The mystery: "I will surely hide My face on that day" [Devarim 31:18]. Why? — The Holy One did all for the good of Israel — He wants the nations to rule over them until they receive all their punishments. Therefore He hides the lights of all the levels — to give place to the Sitra Achra — that they can spread and rule. For were the lights to be revealed — the Sitra Achra could not prevail at all. And the Gevurah of the left arm must hide its power — so the other sides are not destroyed before it. The mystery: "for a hand upon the throne of Yah." For the throne [keis] remains of the full Throne [kisei] — Yud-Kuf [י׳ק] of Havayah. The mystery: hiding of the face — so that only what is absolutely necessary remains revealed. Similarly — this hand hid itself — so that only what is needed is revealed.

"The great awe" — in the time to come — through this hand — Amalek will be permanently cut off from the world. Therefore: "for a hand upon the throne of Yah — a war for Hashem against Amalek from generation to generation." At that time: the great awe — this is the fear of Heaven — the Shechina — which will have a place to spread through all the world — which was not so before — because of so many other impure sides that stood in it. But at that time all will be purified and established as is fitting.
