אֲהוּבִי בְּנִי חֲבִיבִי, בְּיוֹם אֶתְמוֹל שָׁלַחְתִּי לְךָ מִכְתָּבִי עַל יְדֵי רַבִּי מָרְדְּכַי בֶּן רַבִּי יַעֲקֹב בַּאֲרִיכוּת קְצָת, כָּעֵת אֵין בִּלְשׁוֹנִי מִלָּה מִגֹּדֶל הַצָּרוֹת וְהַטְּרָדוֹת. יֵיטִיב ה' לְהַבָּא, רַק אֲנִי מוֹדִיעֲךָ שֶׁאֲנַחְנוּ תּוֹדָה לָאֵל בְּחַיִּים וְשָׁלוֹם, ה' יִשְׁמְרֵנוּ תָּמִיד בָּזֶה וּבַבָּא לָנֶצַח. וּכְבָר הוֹדַעְתִּיךָ שֶׁקִּבַּלְתִּי מִכְתָּבְךָ, הַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ יְנַחֵם אֶתְכֶם מְהֵרָה, וִיבַטֵּל מֵעֲלֵיכֶם וּמִכָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל כָּל הַדִּינִים וְכָל הַגְּזֵרוֹת, וִישַׂמַּח נַפְשְׁכֶם וִיבַשְּׂרֵנוּ בְּשׂוֹרוֹת טוֹבוֹת זֶה מִזֶּה תָּמִיד. אָמֵן כֵּן יְהִי רָצוֹן, וּכְבָר הֶחֱזַקְתִּיךָ הַרְבֵּה לַחֲטֹף כָּל מַה שֶּׁתּוּכַל גַּם עַתָּה, כִּי הִיא חַיֶּיךָ וְכוּ', וְכָעֵת אִי אֶפְשָׁר לְהַאֲרִיךְ כְּלָל.
