Hisbodedus — Personal Prayer
ענווה / Seder HaYom - R' Yitzchak Breiter
One should strengthen oneself with all one's might to seclude oneself and pour out one's speech before Hashem Yisborach every single day — at least one hour — in the language one speaks, about everything that passes over one. One should confess one's sins, iniquities, and transgressions — both unwitting and intentional — and speak before Hashem Yisborach as a person speaks to a friend. One should tell of one's pain and pressures and situation — and of one's household — and of all Yisroel. One should broaden the speech and plead with all manner of arguments, entreaties, and appeals, that one merit to draw close to Hashem Yisborach in truth — in the aspect of: "Open wide your mouth and I will fill it." One should increase in crying out, in supplication, in sighing, and in weeping — and also give thanks to Hashem Yisborach for all His spiritual and physical kindnesses — with song and praise. One should also beseech all one's spiritual and physical needs. And even if one cannot open one's mouth at all — the very standing itself, and the waiting upon Hashem, and the raising of one's eyes heavenward, and the forcing of oneself to speak even a single word — all of this is of great value throughout the entire hour.
