(א) אמר לרבי יודל ורבי שמואל אייזיק זכרונו לברכה כשהיו נוסעים אליו מדאשוב למעדוועדיווקע ופעם אחת היו רוצים לצאת לסביבות מעדוועדיוקע כדי להיות סמוכים אליו תמיד וכן עשו. אז אמר שהוא מתגעגע מאד אחר הדרכים שלהם שהיו נוסעים בהם אליו. ואמר שבכל פסיעה ופסיעה שלהם כשנסעו אליו נברא מלאך מכל פסיעה ופסיעה. ואמרו לו הלא גם כמה יגיעות יש לנו וכמה פסיעות אנו הולכין קדם ששוכרין העגלה לנסע. השיב בודאי גם זה בכלל, כי גם מאלו הפסיעות נברא מלאך מכל פסיעה ופסיעה. ובערב ראש השנה האחרון באומין דבר מזה ואמר בזו הלשון: "איך ווינטש מיר אז איך זאל זוכה זיין צו זעהן דאס לעכטיקייט פון דיא וועגין וואס איר פארט אויף זייא צו מיר" אחלי שאזכה לראות אור בהירות הדרך שאתם נוסעים עליו אלי:

He said to Rabbi Yudl and Rabbi Shmuel Aizik of blessed memory when they were traveling to him from Dashiv to Medvedivkeh — and once they wanted to move to the surroundings of Medvedivkeh in order to always be close to him — and so they did. Then he said that he is very longing after the roads they traveled to him. And he said that with every step they took when they traveled to him, an angel was created from each and every step. And they said to him: "But we also have much exertion and many steps we walk before we hire the wagon to travel." He replied: "Certainly that too is included — for from those steps too an angel is created from every single step."
