(8.) Found in the manuscript of the friends: He said it is better to speak with one's companion about matters of service of the Creator. For just as wine lifts the heart — as it is written [Proverbs 31]: "Give strong drink to one who is perishing and wine to those of bitter soul" — so too the words one speaks with a companion lift a person's heart — as it is written [ibid. 12]: "Anxiety in a person's heart weighs it down" — and our Rabbis expounded [Yoma 75a]: "One should speak it out to others." And just as when one drinks a little wine it lifts the heart, and when one drinks much wine one becomes drunk and lies in one's bed — so too the conversation...
