(70.) I heard in his name that he said: "Through genuine faith in true tzaddikim one merits much money." And this is [from the Sabbath table songs]: "His reward is very much — meod [much] — this is money, as our Rabbis of blessed memory said [Brachos 54a]: 'And with all your meod' — with all your money. 'According to his labor' — 'his labor' refers to the tzaddikim, as it is written [Job 36]: 'I will give to those who do righteousness.' And this is 'according to his labor' — meaning through faith in the tzaddikim, for faith depends on the mouth..."
