(96.) He said it is very good to give at all times a pidyon [redemption offering] to tzaddikim — even not at times of trouble, G-d forbid. And he told of several people from the Tsar's country who are very accustomed to multiplying pidyonos always. And he said: "If he had a tzaddik worthy of making a pidyon for him, he would give a pidyon every day and at all times." And he spoke much about this — for pidyonos are a very great matter.
