Letter 332

The man of my covenant — my heart and my flesh.

…Who draws the spirit of wisdom going out from the most wondrous and great and awesome mind of the truly wise Tzadik — the most select of the most select Tzadikim. The like of whom from one end of the world to the other has not arisen. Who burns and nullifies the falsehood and the spirit of foolishness and error of the heresy and the false faiths — that intensify to destroy the world — Heaven forbid. May Hashem remove from you all kinds of illness and sorrow and groaning. And transform the sorrow and groaning into joy. And give you a long life — a good life — as the bettlers blessed the holy couple. "And in your days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will dwell securely" [Jeremiah 33:16].

The most wondrous speech — that they concluded — in the conclusion of the verse — with the verse: "They shall walk each one in the name of his G-d — and we will walk in the name of Hashem our G-d — forever and ever" [Micah 4:5]. Which went out in deep wisdom from your mouth and your warm heart — with great warmth and passion (merited appreciation and esteem…) at the time of the meeting with the known cross-bearer. It merited great appreciation and esteem. It made a great impression and noise throughout all the worlds. And all appreciate and revere you — without end!
