The Tzadik — through the force of his holiness and his most exalted and awesome wisdom — removes everything and conducts himself in sincerity and simplicity. And casts away…

The light of the Tzadik…

…Who desires the point of the true truth…

Because of the immensity of my love and my strong desire — to reveal and to make known and to illuminate in the heart of one who desires the healing of his soul through the truth — I set my heart — my heart — in the very extremity of the multitude of my distress and bitterness — which it is impossible to explain. May Hashem Yisburach have mercy speedily — to write to you words of truth. Which are precious and wondrous — beyond all estimation. Which are counsels and the healing of the soul and the body — and eternal successes — for each and every one.

…Who strives and digs with great labors in his heart — to find the deep living waters — which the true Tzadik dug and found — wells of living waters — to heal the ailments of the children of Israel.

Be strong and strengthen yourself. And remember your Creator at every moment — in all that passes over you. And to cleave to the ultimate of the truth. For everything is vanity of vanities — a fleeting vanity!

See how greatly Hashem Yisburach has performed wondrously with us — His great kindness. That He has informed us through His mercies — of such most awesome and wondrous and most exalted Torah teachings — the like of which have never been heard. Which are most wondrous healings for our desperate wounds as these — even in these latter days.

…Who makes known to those who dwell below — who are the most lowly ones in the very lowest level — in the nethermost depths, etc. That even there Hashem is still with them and beside them. For "the whole earth is full of His glory" [Isaiah 6:3]. And he arouses and awakens them — in the aspect of "Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust" [Isaiah 26:19], etc. And through this he illuminates within them the daas and drives away from them the spirit of foolishness every time.
