Even in the very ultimate old age one must still be entirely like a young shoot — as though one has not yet begun to live at all.

…Who spread and greatly intensify the concealment of the light of the Tzadik. Whoever wishes to have compassion upon himself — when he sees the immensity of the bitterness of his soul — that he is like a shepherd in the wilderness truly — in a place of chaos and emptiness and darkness — as each person can understand for himself… And all of this cannot be repaired except through the true Tzadik… And from them — all the confusion in the world — for they do not know where the true Tzadik is. And falsehood multiplies and grows in the world — until it implants many foreign opinions and heresies in the world. And raises up from them… people who say they wish the repair of Israel…
