וִדּוּי דְּבָרִים

The blemish of sin is in the soul [nefesh], and the soul is in the dimension of speech [dibur]. Therefore one must confess [l'hisvados] specifically through spoken words [b'diburim daykah] — to rectify and rebuild the blemish of speech [pegam ha'dibur]. And through this the supernal Voice [kol d'le'ailah] is awakened and unified with the Speech — and through this is made the unification of the Holy One, Blessed be He, and His Shechinah [yichud Kudsha Brich Hu u'Shchinteh].
