(This day was made by the Lord, Wednesday, the 24th of Adar [II], 5584 [March 24, 1824]. The Lord has done wonders with us, for suddenly a man from the nearby city brought me a bundle of handwritten manuscripts of our revered teacher, of blessed memory. These include several small pages from the first Aleph-Bet (book, published in English as: Character) and several pages from the teachings already printed in the first volume of Likutay Moharan. However, they contain some additional matters and several topics with different wording and slightly altered enumeration. Therefore, I will transcribe them here).
