משיבת נפש - Meshivas Nefesh
אֲפִלּוּ מִי שֶׁנָּפַל מְאד חַס וְשָׁלוֹם, אֲפִלּוּ אִם נָפַל לַעֲבֵרוֹת חַס וְשָׁלוֹם, צָרִיךְ גַּם כֵּן שֶׁיִּהְיֶה לוֹ יִרְאָה גְּדוֹלָה מֵהַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ לְהִתְחַזֵּק אֶת עַצְמוֹ בְּכָל נְקֻדָּה וּנְקֻדָּה, שֶׁיּוּכַל לְמַלֵּט אֶת נַפְשׁוֹ מֵרַע וְלִמְשׁךְ אֶת עַצְמוֹ לְאֵיזֶה טוֹב וְאַל יִפְטר אֶת עַצְמוֹ, מֵאַחַר שֶׁכְּבָר נָפַל כָּל כָּךְ אִם כֵּן הֻתַּר לוֹ הַכּל חַס וְשָׁלוֹם, חָלִילָה לא תְּהֵא כָּזאת בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל, כִּי אֵין חֹשֶׁךְ וְאֵין צַלְמָוֶת לְהִסָּתֵר שָׁם כָּל פּוֹעֲלֵי אָוֶן. כִּי גַּם בִּשְׁאוֹל תַּחְתִּיּוֹת וּמִתַּחְתָּיו צְרִיכִין לִירָא אֶת הַשֵּׁם מְאד מְאד כִּי בְּכָל מְקוֹמוֹת מֶמְשַׁלְתּוֹ. Even one who has fallen greatly, G-d forbid — even if he has fallen to transgressions, G-d forbid — must even so have great fear of Hashem to strengthen himself at every point, to rescue his soul from evil and draw himself toward some good, and not release himself — since he has already fallen so greatly — as if everything is now permitted to him, G-d forbid. Heaven forbid such a thing in Israel! For there is no darkness or shadow of death where all workers of iniquity can hide. For even in the lowest depths and below them, one must fear Hashem greatly in every place — for His dominion is everywhere. (Halachos of Firstborn Pure Animal, Halacha 4, Ois 14; see: Fear, Ois 104)
